Wow my expectations were kind of high anyway considering the look of the place and the price on the menu. But my expectations... were exceeded. I got the chicken and waffles. The chicken was smoked first and then fried. It was the best meal we've had inquite some time. We will be back. People of Paris should support this establishment. They are now open 7 days a week Read more

Absolutely loved everything about this place. Co old home converted into a very spacious restaurant... Even has a white cloth... dining area, outside porch dining and cozy dining... The waitress was spot on and knew the menu ,and was able to explain all ourquestions. Both of our dishes were really good. This is the kind of place I'd like to bring my family. Read more

Absolutely the best place I've ever eaten in Paris Texas.... Now understand I'm NOT a local but have been coming thru for... business over 17 years.... First off I will say the parking lot seems very big but what I noticed first off was that this was anold house that has been renovated and turned into a very neat restaurant. I have no idea what the occupancy is but it is a wholelot because tables are everywhere and they told me they even have a white tablecloth area for FINE DINING, also several outsideporches with seating. The hostess / waitress knew the menu very well and was fast and friendly. I got the three piece fish withthe fixings and the price was $11.99. I believe they said it is an organic local ground cornmeal... They make their own saucesand this meal came with a small bowl of red beans and rice, coleslaw, fries and hush puppy.... My employee got a breaded fishand I cannot remember the name of... He said it was very good also. So this is the kind of place that I definitely would comeback to and especially would be a place that I would bring my family to if visiting Paris. A real MUST go restaurant. Read more

Wow! We stopped in here after a day of road tripping and sight seeing. I'm so glad we did. The fish was delicious and the sauce... was amazing. I loved the flavor of the chicken fried steak. Perfectly crispy on the outside but still tender on theinside. There is a gift shop in here and ple ty of cool t-shirts to choose from. There is tons of seating inside and our. Thepatio is one of the biggest I've seen at a restaurant. Huge trees around just if you do decide to be out on the patio in thetexas summer you won't burn up. The owner came out to greet everyone and also told us about another picture opportunity wedidn't know about. This is a must if you're anywhere near Paris Texas. Read more

Our motorcycle riding group stopped at this cafe during our ride out to Paris as part of the Grand Tour of Texas. The day... included stopping at the Paris Tower, South Main Iron and of course the local Harley dealer. Pleasantly surprised by the ampleparking (sometimes a chore to to keep a group together) right by the restaurant, and we were greeting and seating quickly at agreat spot on a beautiful Texas spring day on the outdoor dining area. Our waitress was quick to take our drink orders andwelcome us to the cafe, and the owner (I think) came by to meet us and thank us for stopping by. Everyone was very nice andattentive. Orders were placed quickly and it seems our group loves desserts! These were requested to come out before lunchwhich they did and the favorite was the Buttered Pecan Bread Pudding which was excellent and a good portion too! The other wasthe Tunnel of Fudge (funny name, lots of jokes) that was a chocolate cake, with a fudge center and pecans! Lunch was very goodand leans towards comfort food so this group did not mind at all. We marked as a go-to for future trips in and through thisarea. Just missed breakfast... I had the Ultimate BLT which had fresh tomatoes and lettuce, and nice bread with a LOT ofbacon (never a problem). Everything looked really good that the others were having as well. Would recommend stopping in whenin Paris, Texas that is... Read more

Had the Southern catch fish dinner. The food was excellent! They were out of red beans and rice so I opted for the green... beans. They were the best I have ever had. The owner stopped by and personally talked to me making it an even betterexperience. Read more

Outstanding food! My wife and I stopped in for her birthday. I had the chicken fried steak and she had the chopped and topped.... Both dishes were fantastic. The service was spot on and quick with tea refills. Come hungry as the portion sizes arelarge! Well worth stopping in for some good southern comfort food. Read more
