Reviews for Casa Del Mare Italian Restaurant in Paris, TX
I went there tonight for dinner. This place was highly recommended. Well spoiler alert: my experience was abhorrent at best.... The soft product was not up to par for the price of the meal I ordered. I actually feel gypped. I could tell something was wrongfrom my waitress?s tone of voice. She was not happy. Either to be there or maybe something must have occurred. But she was notwelcoming at all. I almost felt like I was some how burdening her. Usually I would ask to seated somewhere else in order to geta more palatable server. This time I did not do that. I find myself being very paranoid about being labeled a make Karen. So Isucked it up. That was a huge mistake. A mistake I will not be repeating anytime soon. I ordered the ribeye medium with a bakedpotato and a salad. The salad came first. It was okay. The main course came after about 20 minutes. It was present with a, ?here you go sir?. And that was it. No refill of my sweet tea, no ?anything else?. Nothing. Just ? here you go sir? anddisappeared. Well the steak was hard, dry, and well done. Did my waitress ever come back to see how the steak was? Nope. Sheliterally just disappeared. As I was looking around the restaurant for my waitress, another server saw me and came over to seewhat I needed help with. Ladies and gentlemen this lady should have been my waitress. He was the ying to my waitress?s yang. Itold her about the overdone steak. She apologize and then offered to have it remade, but again with the male Karen fear, Iturned that down. Then apologized for taking up her time, then decided to eat it as is. Where was my waitress all of this time? No clue. The nice waitress came back over with my waitress in tow. She joined in the apologizing then decide to ask about if Iwant more sweat tea. Lady, I?ve already been here for almost 45 minutes and you now ask me if I want my drink refilled? After my$35 meal was ruined. I sat there for another 45 mins to see if that level of service was the cultu Read more
We came to Paris to see if we could find our forever home. We stopped off for a meal at casa Del Mar for a mid day meal. My... husband had the Italian trio which was good. I had the minestrone soup but it was wayyyy too salty so I sent it back. Overallservice was good. Read more
Our first time and a great meal! The kids got fettuccine alfredo and a small pizza. The serving sizes were very generous and... super tasty. As soon as we sat down, we were greeted with some warm buttered garlic bread. I had the lunch special of chickenparmigiana, again great tasting! Read more
This place came recommended. We made a reservation for 8:45 the night before Tour de Paris. We were met by a hostess who was... less than courteous. She took us to a table and literally 10 mins passed and no one came to bring water or anything. My husbandfinally went to ask someone. The waitress finally came and was very apologetic and sweet. Unfortunately, the food was not whatwe expected based on the reviews. The bread tasted like something I could buy in the frozen foods section of the grocery. Andthe eggplant Parmesan was soggy and more breading than eggplant. I would check out other restaurants in the area unless you areout of options. This place is open til 10 pm which was one reason we chose it. I think the staff was just ready to go homebefore we arrived. That?s the impression we got. Read more

This was the best steak I've ever eaten from any restaurant. The food was great. I'll be back for more. We had no complaints... about the food. We had Chicken Marsalis, 16oz Steak with baked potatoe, Shrimp Alfredo, and Paris Casa. Read more
Good food and atmosphere. The lights are low and with the dark wood and decor could see this as a neat local date night for... basic, casual Italian. We went for lunch and the host and waitress were both very pleasant and attentive. Our meal started with5 garlic rolls seen in most Italian places, soft and fresh. My hubby ordered a house salad, which was definitely the betteroption. My Caesar salad was drenched in dressing that had a heavy hand of grated parmesan and had little to none of the expectedanchovy zing normally found in that dressing. The Pasta Sampler had a smooth marinara that was on the light side from others Ihave tried. The spinach ravioli was good, the lasagna had a lot of meat, but barely any ricotta, and the manicotti had an ultralight ricotta filling, not the denser texture expected. The Brinkley Special had thin pounded and sliced grilled chicken andsauteed veggies. It was the healthier option and tasted as such. Not bad at all, just not the flavor punch of heartier Italiandishes. If you are trying to be good, it's a decent choice. I would go back again for lunch as the prices were reasonable andservice was quick. Read more
Food handlers certification is expired, resturant currently has a B rating, and the cook in the kitchen obviously doesn't... understand how to make Italian food. Underwhelming experience and bland food. It's not worth the time or price. Read more
