We were met at the door by a smiling face and led to the table. The food was really good and plentiful. This is our second visit after coming first in late 2021. The food was excellent with two very minor exceptions. We had way... too many crutons on the salads, especially with the wonderful bread knots and oil that come with the meal. Mine was almostentirely covered. I ended up scooping them off to the side so that I could get to the salad. My chicken entree was great, thebroccoli on it however was way too large and cooked only briefly. I had to cut it up before eating. I would have preferredthat it either be cut smaller (1/2 size what came or less) or cooked to a softer texture. I like it both ways, just don't liketo do the chopping myself to almost uncooked broccoli. We will come again. Read more

The food was disappointing considering the number of positive reviews. Salads were turning brown and not fresh. Eggplant was... not freshly made; alfredo sauce was like paste. The bread had a funny taste. So definitely not worth a repeat visit. Read more

The atmosphere was good, the staff polite, the playing was attractive, and I was not expecting how huge the portions would be... for the entré. The salmon was cooked perfectly with a nice sear on the outside. We will definitely be coming back againsometime! Read more

I've had Avanzare a few times in the past but this visit was even better. Mostly because we had it fresh instead of delivery... from door dash. It was fantastic. The fresh bread and oil were so good I'd have been happy with just that to be honest. We alsoordered two different shrimp dishes that were great. In the past we've had some great pizzas too. It seems from the reviews that food and service are very hit and miss, but our experience was top notch on both fronts. UPDATE:... Our third visit had abysmal service despite not being that busy. The lady who seated us seemed to be very busy, but our serverwas so attentive it seemed as though she didn't have another table (although she was also taking care of a large group that hadcome in). My wife ordered the Stromboli (highly recommended by our server). And it was good. The only drawback is that wedidn't care for a few of the ingredients (I'm not much of a meat eater when it comes to pizza-like foods). And yet it was stillgood. I ordered the Chicken Florentino and it was so good we split the plate and cleaned each side. It was light on cheese, andhad an ever so slight lemon flavor that you could only taste at the end of each bite. If you try nothing else, try the ChickenFlorentino. The meal came with a standard salad, and bread with dipping oil. I prefer my dipping oil with some freshly groundblack pepper, but this was still good. The bread could have use some garlic salt, but the texture was wonderful. We had a sideof fries with our meal (some reviews mentioned they could be soggy). They were better than expected to say the least. Hot,crispy and flavorful without being salty. The ketchup they were served with needs an upgrade, but they don't make it in house,so I'll let that go. As for the atmosphere, it didn't feel pretentious and I like that. A little big band music playing in thebackground made me long for Dean Martin but I didn't hear any. The menus were a turn off. They didn't feel cheap, but they wereso stiff you have to hold them open to an exact angle for viewing and letting go at all will make them snap back. We'lldefinitely consider it for our next date night, although we may stop after splitting a Chicken Florentino since we were both toostuffed to eat more than that.
