We ate lunch at Salty Sue?s today. It was very enjoyable. Our wait was a little long. BBQ is their lunch special those that... ordered it were served quickly. I had fish & chips with turnip greens. It came out very hot. The fish was lightly battered &tender. My turnip greens were good but the serving size seemed small. My husband ordered blackened fish tacos. The fish wasnot blackened but he said it tasted fine & ate it anyway. Next time we go I think we will go during the dinner hour unless wewant BBQ. Read more

Waited about an hour for 3 people on a Monday night. Understandable during high season. Once I?m seated quickly and server... appeared promptly. Pretty good menu and selection. Food came quickly. The nachos were good. The brisket was okay as was thechopped pork. A little disappointed in the flavors. Part of the order was wrong and we had asked for an extra plate. Once themeal was sat on the table we couldn?t find wait staff anywhere. Finally our server came to the table after a good 7 min. Notsure where she went or why we weren?t checked on. Do NOT judge a website by its cover! This place wasn't what I expected at all. The food was DELICIOUS! It took a little while... for our food to come out but definitely worth it!! Overall Salty Sue's was good; the service was good but not exceptional and the food was the same. The food was tasty for the... most part with some exceptions. We had appetizers of fried pickles and fried green tomatoes which both were great especiallywith the sauces that came with them. For the main courses I had the brisket, which did taste good but was dried out. Also itcame with sauce poured over it which I don't prefer, I would rather it be on the side in case I don't like it. Good news is thesauce was tasty and did help with the bit of dryness in the beef. The fire roasted corn that was a side was inedible, like ithad been sitting in a warmer for a long time. The other side, the steak fries, were fantastic, well seasoned and crisp! Theother main entrée my wife had was Jerked chicken leg quarters which she liked very much. The wing special is a great deal. The nachos at the neighboring table look great too. Staff is friendly. Service can be a bit... slow during peak hours. The ribeye is a bit sad and could use some help with seasoning and cooking. We won't be back as most ofour food quality was not in line with the prices. Some items were undercooked. We Had an awesome experience. The seafood gumbo is a 10/10 the best I've ever had ever and a smoked chicken wings well if you... don't order yourself some u r truly missing out.
