Real Wood BBQ! See my pictures! Food is the same as in Texas. Brisket is good and has the taste of the Hill County oak smoke!... They do not have whole pickles though like in Austin. Very clean. Staff is sleepy and relaxed you don?t see that in Texas butit?s a Florida thing. Slow and relaxed. Was very happy to find a piece of Texas in Fla. Phillip was fun and smiled a lot! Greatguy! Here we have Rudy?s BBQ a self described ?Texas Style BBQ? restaurant chain. First off, the ordering process is chaotic and... everything is A La Cart. You order your preferred meat and then whatever sides you want which you have to leave the counter andgo to the refrigerator to get. Then they give you a weird looking coke crate tray to carry everything in. On to the food. Thetwo times I have eaten here, both times the food was just OK. The brisket I had last was dry, somewhat tough, and had no bark onit and not much flavor. It reminded me of meat that had been reheated in a steamer. The sides I have tried are no better thanthose in an average High School cafeteria, seriously. The potato salad is worse than anything you could buy from Publix. Thebanana pudding is worse than what you could get from the old Snack Pack brand. It tastes very ?instant? but instant pudding isbetter. The whipped cream they use must be the cheapest, worst quality they could buy. A bright spot is the tea, it?s verygood. Overall, the restaurant is cool looking, big and clean but there is much better BBQ to be found in our area. The otherobservation I had while eating there is..it seemed like 75% of the patrons are morbidly obese. REAL BBQ!!!! Texas knows a BBQ and this place is legit. The young lady at the front desk is so kind and welcoming! The staff at... the cafe line are really poor customer service, hope someone can address that, but then you get the food and it?s A-MAZING! It?ssuch a great value too, Ribs, Brisket, Chicken, sides, all so delicious and affordable. I will bring the family here a few timeswhile visiting PCB. Best BBQ, best prices, so satisfied. Awesome place. Kinda hard to understand how to order because everything is ordered separately (al a carte). Cashier was really... patient with us & gave us samples of the moist brisket & turkey. Both were SO good!! There is a bar to get pickled veggies &toppings for your sandwiches. They also give bags of bread bc the meat is sold in lbs... So you can make multiplesandwiches. PS. The staff are friendly and atmosphere is nice. But the BBQ has the texture and taste of being previously cooked and heated up in... a steam box. The beans taste like chilli gone bad. And the 2 sauces they offer are almost identical in taste not enoughvariation between the 2 to make much of a difference. Read more

First time visit and I?m very impressed! Best Turkey and Brisket I?ve had and the pulled pork also! Great service with a smile... and I felt extremely welcome! Will come back every time I visit PCB. Everything here is al a carte, you come in and stand in line to order, and can grab sides out of the fridge on the left. You can... order any amount of meat you want, so if you want a slice of something, or one rib, that's okay. You can get a bun or bread, andthere's a relish bar in the center of the dining area with pickles, peppers, onions, seasonings, and sauces. You can also orderto go online and pick up. The staff was really nice and friendly. The turkey was really good and moist, and the moist brisket isalso really good. I got the jumbo smoked potato with brisket on top, and you can get butter, sour cream, and cheese. While itwas good, the skin was too tough to eat. I'd definitely come back. Update: I went back in December, and since September it wasbetter. The potato was cooked perfectly and easy to eat, and I feel like it was bigger? Best Texas style BBQ in Panama City. Maybe within 30 miles or more. Remember this is priced by the pound or as sandwiches. ... Sandwiches may be the better value.
