Typically even with a terrible server our food will be decent. This was by far the worst experience we?ve had. Items were not... cleaned upon us even arriving to our table? bottles were not cleaned and were not labeled as well.. our sever was a kid and I?dlike to say it was terrible service because of that but it was definitely managements idea to place him with quite a few tablesto extend him behind his training abilities. Exceptional! We aren't the easiest crowd to serve as my wife and I spent years in the restaurant industry. This was a top notch... experience from beginning to end. Our youngest child is autistic and basically non-verbal. She's not patient to say the least.They accepted a reservation for our party of 6 due to these special circumstances. They were on quite a wait when we arrived. Wewere seated immediately and our server, Cameron, was on top of everything. We never once had to ask him for anything other thanthe check when he checked on us mid dinner, we take the check early so we can make a quick exit if necessary. Now, the food.It's above standards as far as local restaurants at comparable prices. The complimentary hush puppies were home made anddelicious! We ordered the gator bites as an appetizer, they were freshly prepared and very well seasoned, not too salty which somany places achieve by just dumping seasoning salt in the breading. The kids loved them. My wife had the Mariner and we ate itall. Everything was so well seasoned and perfectly cooked. I ordered the beef tenderloin tips, rare, which were spectacular andthe portion size was much more than I expected. My oldest daughter had the Monster fish sandwich which was named appropriately.The filet dwarfed the bun 4x at least. It was huge!!! My oldest son had the fried chicken club sandwich but subbed out thejalapeno cornbread for toast, I wouldn't have but... It was amazing! Not too sweet but very savory! Perfect flavor profiles fromquality ingredients all around. My younger two had the chicken finger baskets with fries. They were fresh, hand breaded. not a bad restaurant to try out. a bit older and dated, but clean. prices comparable to other restaurants in the area. The... waitress spent most her time talking to an elderly couple at another table about her other job, kids and trying to buy a house.She was polite when coming to our table, but not as friendly. ordered the Shrimp and grits, marked gluten free on the menu,but it came with 2 toasted bread slices on it. Came here tonight because I've had a crazy craving for crab and just drove straight from New Orleans. Got seated right away... (party of 1) and had a huge table! Server was good, a little *too* attentive but rather have that than no service! Ordered 1/2lb of king crab ???? legs and French fries ????. The crab legs were not that warm at all. They had flavor but the temperaturethrew me off. Fries were like steak fries. Some were cooked very well, some needed more time. After I consumed the 1/2 lb, Iordered another 1/2 lb. I asked for the same price as a whole pound...I'm used to bigger king crab legs but it was fine. The 2ndorder was super hot and great!!! Definitely loved them the 2nd time.
