Reviews for Capt. Anderson's Restaurant & Waterfront Market in Panama City, FL
Captain Anderson's is definitely worth your time to visit. I consider myself to be very knowledgeable with seafood, and... according to me, this place is great. Chargrilled shrimp is 100% worth every bite; it even comes with a saucer of butter. I knowthis is a seafood restaurant, but their soups are delicious and their house Greek salad is incredible. Be sure to get a piece offeta in every bite. And their bread is incredible. It comes fresh from their bakery right next to the restaurant. I got thefilet of grouper and it was wonderful. Delightfully simple and the fish seemed to melt on my tongue. Wonderful. The atmosphereof the place was amazing, too. You should 100% visit ! Read more
Best seafood in PCB! We arrived around 4pm and walked around in the gift shop. About this time, people were lining up for the... opening at 4:30. At exactly 4:30 the doors open and we were seated immediately. We were greeted by our server, who was very kindand gave us information on what to order since this was our first time. Five minutes after ordering our drinks, we received abasket of bread which was fresh and soft. A few minutes later, we got our salads. The dressing and tomato?s were absolutelywonderful. Maybe 5-10 minutes later, we got our food along with hush puppies. The stuffed shrimp was so delicious and was veryfilling. The butterfly shrimp which is split in half and stuffed with a crab cake filling was so fresh and cooked perfect. Myfiancé who ordered the platter said the Florida lobster was his favorite, along with the soft and flavorful crab cakes. Thescallops were cooked perfectly with the shrimp. Our sides which were french fries, and mashed potato?s were even cooked as ifthey were home made. The sauces that came with our food were our favorite we?ve ever had. We enjoyed everything on our plate andwill definitely be back. They also have a cute gift store right next to them with a lady that sells adorable sterling silverjewelry along with other items in the gift shops that are very unique. Read more
The food is amazing. Went both times while at the beach this summer and ate there each time we go. I will always eat there when... I visit for sure!! Can't say ANYTHING bad about the food, service or wait!!! The only thing we do is try to make sure we arethere by 4:45 pm to get a seat right away. It's a huge place and has so much seating available. It's well worth every penny wespend, if the food is that good I don't mind paying 50 for a plate. BEST SEAFOOD I have ever had!!! Read more

It was OK. Very overpriced, very. There was maybe 5 broiled shrimp on each plate it was tough. Got half of a lobster tail it was... also tough. 2 pieces of white fish an scallions with a baked potato X2 plates. Total bill $140.00. Nice place.. Excellentservice but food wasn't all that.. This was my Anniversary dinner so kind of disappointed. Read more
Reminds me of those local seafood joints from back in the day in those charming little gulf communities. Food was better... quality and less expensive than their competitors. Service was good and everyone was very nice. Would recommend, the crabfingers, scallops and fried shrimp were also excellent. Read more
We were seriously disappointed by the quality of the food here, especially for the cost. It is such a great looking restaurant.... Our server was amazing (particularly given how busy this place is). But you go to a restaurant for the food and you go to aseafood restaurant on the gulf expecting great seafood, yet the food was pretty bland and too expensive for the food you end upgetting. My son?s ordered steaks, questionable at a seafood restaurant, and they were tough and expensive, again, without muchflavor. All told we spent nearly 300 dollars (there were five of us) and I wished we would have just gone out for some fast foodor some barbecue. You live and learn. Maybe we just paid for the experience? If so, it?s a pretty expensive place to sit for anhour and look at the marina. Read more
I have been going here since I was a child. It is still a wonderful old florida experience. I had the stuffed grouper and crab... finger appetizer. We don't eat out very often so we went all out including a hurricane with a souvenir glass! Don't expect toget out without spending at least 100 for 2 people if you don't splurge like we did! It is first class everything though. Read more
