You know when someone cooks something basic to its limit? That?s this place. Nothing new. And that?s what made it great.

Great spot. Love the mujadarah- cracked wheat and lentils! Didn?t know you could do that. So good. Lamb was great. They gave me... a walnut baklava on the house! Loved it. Thank you. Read more

This place was bomb! Had it for the first time today, very generous portions, tasty chicken, and fresh ingredients. I will... definitely be coming back, one of the best spots in the area for sure! Read more

Absolutely amazing food and incredible service, but the hours are SO UNRELIABLE! Went on a Friday afternoon and despite the sign... and hours saying they're open, the doors were locked and lights out. I spent all morning waiting for them to open. Amazingplace, but I'm never able to go because of their weird hours. Edit: tried coming back the next day. How do they not open until4:30 on a Saturday? While keeping a "come in we're open" sign outside? So frustrating, I don't even want to come here anymore. Ashame because their food and prices are good Edit: I came back on a Saturday at 6:30pm and this place was CLOSED. 4 out of 6times I've tried coming here they have been closed, usually with no reason or explanation. I'm never going back. Read more

I found Zadna Bowl by accident while walking around University Ave in the downtown area. It?s a small place with options to... create your own bowl of Middle Eastern goodness. I had chicken kabobs, falafel over rice, Israeli salad, tabbouleh, eggplant, cauliflower, tzatziki sauce, with sumac and parsley sprinkled on top. The husband and wife owners are Jordanian and they havetwo locations -one in Palo Alto and the other in Redwood City. Growing up in a home where Middle Eastern food was made freshdaily, this place reminded me of my moms dishes. Authentic, flavorful and fresh. The owner was kind, friendly and overlygenerous with servings. Great place for authentic Middle Eastern cuisine. Read more

Family-owned counter-serve restaurant with massive portions, fried to order falafel, and delicious chai on the house. Very fresh... and flavorful! One bowl and two sides was more than enough for two. Will be coming back. Read more
