Lovely hidden gem with great service and fantastic food. Calamari we're extremely fresh. Fettuccini Alfredo was creamy and... tasted just right. The chicken in the chicken Alfredo was slightly dry, but it was a great dish overall. The short rib ravioliwas definitely unique. Tasty, although I found the dish/sauce a bit on the sweet side. In general, the food was decent, the wait staff were friendly and accommodating, and the prices were reasonable. I do think they... could be a bit more careful of the seasoning (some dishes were under seasoned, others over seasoned) but it was late in theshift on a Sunday night. We've been coming to Alaine's for a few years now. it's one of our favorite place to have dinner. Everything we've tried has... been delicious and the staff is always attentive and welcoming. We love this place so much, we decided to have our weddingreception there this past weekend and we can't thank Jacky and all of the staff enough! Alaine's is a charming cozy restaurant perfect for intimate dinning with hand crafted Italian food. They are probably the best... if not in the top two best Italian restaurants in the south end. The only reason that I am not giving them a 5 star rating foratmosphere is they have had the AC set to artic tundra the last few times I have been there. Read more
