We booked the room last minute as it is close to the hospital. The double queen room is very spacious, carpet is clean and... thick. Room stays nice and warm. We stayed on the 3rd floor, with a sliding door to the outside and a beautiful view of themountains. Prior to booking we read of the front desk not being manned. That has not been a problem for us. Someone alwaysanswers when we call the number and is very helpful. We ate breakfast at the restaurant on site. Breakfast was delicious andstaff was very nice. I would recommend this hotel and would also return in the future. Read more

Read the reviews. Don't know what people were complaining about. The rooms seem to be have been updated and may still be in... the process. They are very large and comfortable. Couldn't get the TV to work but we were only there to sleep. Staff werevery friendly and helpful. Read more

First, there is no air conditioning. If you turn on the fan in the window, it pulls in all of the cigarette smoke from those... smoking outside the back door. This smell actually pales in comparison to the horrid pot smoking stench that is pervasivethroughout the entire second floor. The lady at the front desk was very sweet but it's not her fault that people were being sorude. The room was clean and the amenities were fine...good pillows but rock hard mattresses. Would not recommend this hotelunless you enjoy the stench of pot. A gentleman in the hall claimed it had been this way all week...also his room hadn't beencleaned all week. Read more

**WOMEN SOLO TRAVELER REVIEW** I would give this 5 stars, easily. For the price, it was fantastic! The room was modern and... super clean. The location was perfect for palmer festivities. My biggest and largest issue is security. They've done a lot toupdate their hotel. Including a nice app entrance door. The only issue... when this doesn't work, which it took my 6 hours toreceive the text to get it. They give you a key. The key to the door. A legit key. A key that can be copied. As a solo femaletraveler...this was a HUGE issue for me. I was so on edge sleeping or walking into my room at the end of the night. To me, oncethis is addressed, it's 5 stars! Read more

I can tell you this: if you want to stay in a hotel that is dirty, noisy, and unsafe, you have come to the right spot! First, it... is not really clean. Hotel rooms, corridors, hallways - they are just filthy. Its like they are cleaned by long-termquasi-homeless renters who do the least amount of cleaning possible. My room overlooked the street and it was so noisy I had tolet the TV run to drown out the noise. Can you imagine not shoveling off snow or throwing down sand or salt? The sole entry wasan ice obstacle. It is literally difficult to walk in and out of this place. It was so bad I took pictures. The bed's mattressis not an actual mattress. I don't know what it is, but you sink way in until you are surrounded by it and if you move, you kindof slide off. Also, they do not have an actual clerk. They have a phone you can call. When you request something, like clearingsnow and ice, you get attitude. I gave them one star only because I had to in order to write this. I selected this hotel onlybecause there was nothing else available. Big mistake. Read more

Really disliked that the rooms smell slightly moldy and dusty. Carpet didn't even look like it was vacuumed recently and there... was hair in the sink in bathroom. It is what it is I got some sleep n left early to get a room at valley motel. Much better. Read more

I loved my stay here at the Eagle Hotel. This was my first time in Alaska and I was booking this trip from Utah with only as... much knowledge of Palmer and the surrounding areas as could be gleaned from Google maps. And that isn't much. I found the Eagleand was immediately drawn to its reasonable price and option to have a room with a balcony. From what I had seen online, therewas a fabulous view from those rooms. So I booked room 306 and hoped for the best. I am so happy I made that choice. The onlyreal issue I had here was the icy parking lot, but it's Alaska, so that's just part of the package. The lobby was clean andmaintained, and while there wasn't a person standing by at the front desk, there was board up with a phone and a number to callfor help. After placing a call it took only a moment or two for a woman to come out and greet me. She was very kind and weshared stories of our children and discussed my stay while she finalized things and had me install and app to use instead of atraditional key card. Unfortunately, the app never did work for me. But it did text me a passcode that I was able to use to gainaccess not problem. The room itself was very nice. You can tell when you walk in that the carpet is brand new, just like thebed, the sheets and even the bathroom appears to have had a major overhaul recently. It was a very nice room. Spacious and witha view that I couldn't stop staring at. I appreciated the soft carpet, the table and chairs in the corner, the ceiling fan, andthe spaces tub. There was plenty of space through out the room to keep my suitcase and hang my clothes with storage tospare. Honestly, for what I paid and how late I booked my stay, I am truly surprised at how nice my accommodations were. I havetrips to the Palmer Wasilla area coming up soon, and I hope to make the Eagle Hotel my go to destination for each of these. Read more
