(October 2022) We have been going to Joy Luck for almost ten years, and are glad to say that they are still the BEST choice in... the Palm Springs area for great Chinese food! We have hardly ever been disappointed with any of the meals we have ordered. Weusually get a handful of different combination dinners with each order, and they are always hot, the portions just the rightamount, and the taste is still very satisfying! Joy Luck is centrally located in a good shopping center on Congress Ave, andthere is never a problem parking to pick up our order. And the orders are always prepared and ready in a relatively fast time.You can also dine in. The owners are nice people and are always friendly. Joy Luck remains our #1 and ONLY choice in the PalmSprings & Lake Worth area for the BEST Chinese food! Recently order take out (delivery from them) was told 45 mins till delivery. We waited an hour and 45 min till we called back... with a concern about our (45 min delivery). Then they told me hes on the way??? Waited ANOTHER 15 mins then called for a refundand no cancel of "delivery". We were told "sorry about that and will refund your money" we offered to then... NOW AFTER 2 HOURS.Pick up our order because our daughter really was bankin on chinese food. We then was told " we already refunded yoru money" atthat point we tried to explain "we like your food and are willing to pick up our order" they responded with "ok yes, we canprocess your order AGAIN, although we alrighty processed a refund". Sooooo we had to pay TWICE for thier mess up. Not saying thefood isn't good BUT the delivery/service is horrible. We should have been compensated for something!! Read more

I was disappointed with my ordered. Ordered Szechuan Chicken, expecting a spicy dish. Even on the menu, it has a little pepper... indicating it's spicy. It was the most bland Chinese food I've ever eaten. It had no flavor, even after adding soy sauce. Theonly reason I'm giving it 2 stars instead of 1, is cause the Crab Rangoon wasn't half bad. DON?T BE FOOLED BY THE GOOD REVIEWS!!!! This was the grossest takeout food ever. The egg rolls were lukewarm and rock hard, the... wonton soup tasted like salty water with huge Gordon food service tasteless dumplings floating around in it. The Mongolian beefwas clearly reheated and not cooked in a wok and tasted like a $2 school lunch. Is that even meat?? The beef curry was laughableand completely disgusting. A bunch of parboiled vegetables and the tiniest pieces of ?beef? you?ve ever seen in a watery yellowsauce. Restaurants should not get away with serving food this terrible, period. Never going back. I Don?t know if it?s the same cook but the last couple of times I ordered and it was horrible the pork fried rice was hard the... chicken wings were way over cooked and the egg drop soup was like eating jello and the only thing that was good was the eggroll I will never order again was a waste of my money Read more
