We had a blast. It was my birthday and we did the drag show brunch. My friend had never seen a show and was beyond delighted. ... The drag queen at the mike was from L.A. and hilarious, a very seasoned performer. They had great costumes and it's just allaround fun! Read more
The most fun brunch I’ve ever been to! The entertainment was fantastic. My Bloody Mary, bagel and lox was perfection. I was... very uncomfortable that there was a six year old in the audience. Nothing to do with the drag show or any sort of discrimination….it’s adult content and no place for a child. Children need to be protected from adult subjects as long as possible. Theydon’t need the weight of adult things. It seemed even the MC (the fab Jackie B) was annoyed by it. It’s not the restaurantsfault. They must allow anyone in. At a couple points the child was holding up dollars and the performers ignored her. That’sintegrity. Also I had inadvertently purchased tickets for the wrong day and there were zero issues getting us in. They were soaccommodating for my mistake. Our waiter and all the staff was wonderful. We've been to Oscar's twice since arriving in Palm Springs. While the ambience is pretty basic the food was surprisingly very... good. The first time we went for the bingo and it was good fun. The prizes were....well lets just say we were kinda glad wedidn't win. This evening we went for the dinner theatre to see Mid Century Moderns and it was a total bust. The show wascompletely amateurish, a total gong show. The fact that it cost $60 made it even worse. $20 would have been more appropriate forthe quality of the show. The mics weren't working properly, the scene changes were extremely bad and the singing was mediocre.Just very disappointing. All I can say is thank goodness we all five enjoyed our meals. Read more
