Reviews for Al dente in Palm Springs, CA
Very disappointing food and wine. I got the risotto with the “famous” pink sauce. It had no flavor and the risotto wasn’t... cooked correctly. The wine was bad and we tried the Chardonnay and Pinot. The free bread on the table was not flavorful and thetomato wasn’t seasoned. I wish I could take back eating here. The waiter was nice but repeated many things and slowed ourordering down with his confusion. Overall I would suggest going to a different restaurant on the street. Read more
Cute patio. Food was average, nothing special. Everything is “ala-cart” … salad is extra. I asked for a cup of hot water... with lemon and was told I’d be charged for tea, even though I didn’t order tea. When I pointed out that cold water was free, and asked why hot water was $4, the server mentioned the lemon. When I asked if I could get the water without the lemon, he saidhe’d see what he could do. He came back with hot water without lemon. I wasn’t charged. The bread was delicious and thebruschetta topping was a nice touch. Service was pleasant, but for $29 with tax and tip for a plate of noodles, I’d probablygo somewhere else. Read more

Had a lovely dinner here on the patio with my girlfriend! The servers were so welcoming and friendly and our pasta dishes were... delicious. We got the tiramisu and split an espresso martini for dessert, both of which were amazing. Our server went above andbeyond to assure we had a great dinner—thank you Al Dente! Read more
Things were going well until the food came out. The atmosphere is nice. The service is attentive, friendly and professional. The... outside patio is attractive and comfortable. The cocktails were creative and delicious - but the food was bland and my dish, rice primavera tasted like it came out of a can. Honestly, Marie Calendar frozen dinner is more satisfying. We were sodisappointed. Read more
My date and I enjoyed a lovely dining experience this evening. We were promptly seated and met with smiling faces upon... entry. For starters we shared a refreshing caprese salad with warm bread and a cool bruschetta spread with oil and balsamicvinegar. For my entree, I had the lobster ravioli with added shrimp (5) for $7 more. The red sauce was creamy and flavorfulalongside the perfectly cooked shrimp. I throughly enjoyed soaking up the sauce with the complimentary breads. The fresh tableside addition of parmesan cheese was a nice finishing touch to the dish. For dessert, we tried the cheesecake, tiramisu andcannoli. To me, the cannoli was the stand out dessert. The filling was spot on and the presentation was beautiful. While thecannoli was my favorite, all of the desserts were delicious and looked stunning. The service here is what really merits thefive star review. Our drinks were refilled quickly and our meals were boxed with care. More importantly, I wore a white dressto dinner and inevitably managed to get bits of red sauce on it regardless of my extreme caution. My server noticed my mishapand without a word brought me soda water and an extra napkin to dab the spot out. I am grateful for his quick thinking andaction. Thank you, for saving my night and dress.
