In my opinion, Sonny's is the most reliably good BBQ chain restaurant. They have remodeled most restaurants in the last few... years and they keep fiddling with the menu, but none of that has changed it foe better or worse. Pork, chicken, ribs are stillgreat. Side dishes are good, especially the baked beans (the BEST). Portions have gotten a little smaller it seems. Lunchportions are definitely smaller, for a lower price than dinner. My husband and I have been going to Sonny's restaurant for the last 25 years. And they did not disappoint, we both ordered the... rib and chicken, and not only was the chicken tender and the ribs sweet they were scrumdiddlyumptious. It's good to see thateven through a world crisis Sonny's continues to put out great food I highly recommend We went to the Palm Harbor restaurant itwas great. Read more
Would give 4 stars but small portion of brisket for price. Pork Sandwich pieces was hard. Best thing was the tots with brisket.
Super fast and very friendly waitresses. The place was clean and looked modern, but not a ton of parking. We went early for... lunch and barely anyone was there, so worth your consideration. Nice bbq restaurant, had the brisket with sweet potato and green beans which included corn bread. Appetizers were fried okra and... corn nuggets. My wife had the baby back ribs with cole slaw and potato salad. The also had 4 bbq sauces on the table. Read more
What an amazing place! My mom been sending me the sizzling sause in the mail for years, Love this sause. The food is even... better than I could have imagined. Every piece of meat was juicy, tender, and delicious. Perfect amount of smokey flavor. Justenough smoke flavor to complament the meat and sauses. The staff was very helpful and attentive. This is always a tough one with this chain. Depending on day and location things could be a 2 star to 4 star experience. This... location seems less comfortable in feel compared to some others I been. But none are comfortably fancy being a simple BBQjoint. Food Is always fresh and tends to be just of average quality. Service falls in line from marginal to excellent dependingon the visit. You can expect mediocre quality ribs that is usually tender and moist. Chicken can run from perfect and juicy todry and chewy depending on the day and time. Salads are simple and other selections stick to the theme of mediocre BBQ. On a 1to 5 scale this is a good 3 baseline for judging other BBQ and quality of meats. And their price point also reflects thisproperly as it is reasonable for what you are getting. Vivian was really friendly and attentive, thank you Vivian for being great! Now the food... Delicious! Had the slices beef... brisket sandwich, Mac and cheese, okra for an "app," and donut holes for dessert. So good!!!! The spicy bbq sauce is not spicyat all, but adds a delicious flavor!
