Ordered the Chicken Chow Mein combo platter that comes with fried rice. This is what it looks like. In all my years of ordering... chow mein, I?ve always received noodles. If you look up ?chow mein? on Google, you will see thousands of pictures of noodles.Yet, this mixture of cabbage and bean sprouts is what Uncle Joe?s considers to be chow mein. It wasn?t good either? it was verysoupy and mushy. I do not recommend this place but wanted to leave this review in case anyone orders chow mein expectingnoodles! Read more

Simply put, this is the best old-skool, Cantonese-style Chinese food in the area - Transplants who miss their beloved... restaurants from the northeast will not be disappointed. The only caveat I have is that the prices are higher here than most ofits competitors. As a simple comparison, the egg rolls are bigger and tastier than many Floridian Chinese restaurants, thoughnot outstanding. Still, it's the best I've found in the North County. And while the prices of dishes are higher, the portionsand quality are far beyond many others, especially when compared to the nearby run-of-the-mill takeaway and deliverystorefronts. Dishes like the Beijing style Chicken, made of crispy fried strips of white meat chicken in a spicy yet stickysauce, and the classic Pan-fried Noodles in a savory gravy with shrimp, pork, chicken and veg over crispy and chewy noodles wasas good as I've had almost anywhere (other than Chinatowns or other Chinese expat communities). Next time I return, I want tosee about more authentic Chinese dishes like the Stuffed Eggplant. Finally, the restaurant is tidy, though it's age is showinga bit, and filled with rows of classic tables and booths. The walls are adorned with Asian bric-a-brac and the vaulted ceilingsports an anticipated skyview mural. The service is quite friendly, very helpful and attentive. Really, who could could ask formore!? Read more

This is our favorite Chinese restaurant. The food is consistently great. They are fast and friendly service. I read some of... the less favorable reviews and have never experienced any of those issues even after ordering around 3 times per month for 1.5years. Read more

I have not tried every single dishes here but for me, Uncle Joe's is the best spot to have Chinese authentic food in West Palm... Beach, specially for chicken lo mein and chicken fried rice with spicy level 5 (for spicy lovers). To top that, they do not useplastic boxes for take away. Its a win-win. Read more

This was my first and last visit to this restaurant. The chicken looked over cooked or recooked. I went back to the restaurant... and spoke with the cashier about my order. She stated that they don?t give refunds. They remade my food. When I got my food thecashier started to go through my bag with her dirty gloves. I told her to stop because she had on the same gloves she wastouching the register, money and whatever else she was doing with those contaminated gloves. She became irate. It was totallyunprofessional. Read more
