Wow, this place, a one time favorite, went downhill! New owners or what? Instead of the sculpted soft textured creamy treat, we... were served ball scooped hard balls, neither creamy, nor smooth, nor even tasty (weak on flavor). The temperature at which thegelato was kept was wrong?way too cold. My wife and I agree? we won?t be back. It gives me no pleasure to write this review andI am indeed sad that I need to look for and hope to find a gelato shop that understands gelato. Read more
I've seen some of the reviews here and I have to say as a regular visitor I think the Grotto is doing great. The gelato is as... good as it's been in years and years. Flavorful and a much higher quality product than the other chain stores. Read more
These people say they have espresso but don't know how to make it. I asked for a macchiato and got a huge cup of mostly hot milk... it was a latte. I asked the lady behind the counter why it had so much milk in it for a macchiato and she said oh they're allthe same. I then told her goodbye for the last time. A solid 1star for the unfriendlyness of the employee and the low quality of the ice cream which was not smooth/creamy, but full... of iced parts. The $6.50 for a medium cup was not justified. Mind you, they give you a medium serving in a small cup and thereis no way that you can eat it fast enough for the icecream not to melt and dirt your hands and clothes. Luckily, the tables haveholes through which the ice-cream can fall to the ground! Not recommended. Read more
This Gelato was terrible honestly. The pistachio tasted like cardboard, I actually threw it away. I have never, ever in my... lifetime thrown away Gelato until now. The dulce de leche was average. I would not go back here. Read more

This place is fantastic! I got the peanut butter gelato, which included chunks of chocolate. My friend got the chocolate fudge... brownie and loved it. The staff was friendly and polite. I?ll br back for sure! Read more
