Best lobster roll ever, so far. Nice view waterfront view. Good service. They did have a few gluten-free options. I would have... rated it a five but the clam chowder had a lot of bacon in it. How about adding more clams. I feel like they do that to becheap. If I order fish soup I do not expect pork. Again the service and lobster roll were delicious. Went on a Friday to hear live music and eat dinner. We sat on the patio, it was very pleasant, not too crowded at 7pm. The view... of the river is probably nice, but it was already dark so I can't really comment on that. The menu has a lot of items, nothingreally gluten/dairy free besides salad and steak if you're restricted. My husband had the grouper sandwich and said it was verygood. I ordered the shrimp and grits (which I should have expected to be disappointed after living in Louisiana for 28 years),it was not great....very greasy from the sausage they put in it. Ok. I'm going to start with the good. The view was amazing. Our server was awesome and very sweet. The food was good, but not... great. The lady who seated us was super irritable. They kept delivering food we ordered to another table to the point wecancelled the second order of fries. Took forever to get our deserts to go. If I was a Karen this would have made me lose mymind. Me and my husband came to The Shack and the food was very tasty! Our waitress, Mary, was super sweet and had an awesome... personality! I will say, it's pricey, but from my experience, it's worth it. Cold beer, good live music, and again, the food andservice was great! Read more

Words can?t describe how great this food and scenery are the staff is incredible and the owners are so nice. We?ve never had a... bad experience and Mary makes us feel right at home our other favorites are Cassandra, Shelby, and Tiffany. We go once a weekand they always have a great diverse menu!! Excellent service. Good food and great atmosphere. Our waitress was all over it and the food came out very quickly. Decent... portions. Haddock was excellent, coconut shrimp was phenomenal, and crabby patty sandwich was fair. We had the lobster bisqueand clay chowder. Chowder was really good but bisque didn't have any noticeable lobster chunks or flavor. If it weren't forthat, this would be a perfect 5 stars. Read more

My family was dying of hunger when we stopped by. The place is decorated super beautifully, and the ambiance was relaxing and... festive. The band was playing great music, the temperature was perfect with the fire next to us and the breeze coming from thewater. We each really enjoyed everything we ordered. Everything was delightful !! We recently made reservations for a party of 20+ for a friend's 70th birthday, and our expectations were met and then some!... Raymond, who I spoke with on the phone to make our plan, was so friendly and welcoming! Sometimes when we call a restaurant theperson sounds harried or even off-putting (they're probably busy, of course) but Raymond was great. He was also our server,along with Tiffany (and there may have been one other server, sorry if I've left her out.) They were extremely patient with ourlarge party with multiple tabs. Drinks were served promptly, and the food service was very efficient as well. Everyone lovedtheir appetizers and entrees. And of course the view! There are multiple seating options, inside, riverfront, undercover andoutside as well. A must-visit for sure. Make note the parking is now mostly valet.
