Every time I go to Sonny's, everyone is so genuinely kind. Patricia is absolutely amazing. Not only is she great at her job- but... she’s the epitome of good customer service. & for take out- Bree is also so kind. The food is ALWAYS up to par- I’ve been toother locations and it’s night and day compared to the Palm bay restaurant. I won’t go to a different location- because ofthe customer service and the quality of the food. You are very lucky to have the employees you do! Read more
Man this place has gone downhill. We used to eat here very frequently. But the pork is always dry and old and tastes weird or... drenched in grease. Portions are getting smaller. Especially the corn nuggets and corn bread. They always mess up our order. Mymom ordered a sandwich and they put pork on a plate with no bread. My sons tenders were burnt and hard. So disappointed. Sonny's is one of the BBQ staples in Palm Bay simply because there just aren't many other options. The food is always good for... a chain restaurant. Serving size is good too, and the prices are reasonable. My biggest issue with this particular locationhas repeatedly been what seems to be a staffing problem. The servers seem super hurried, and they seem to be handling fairlylarge sections by themselves with no bussing help and frequently no hostess either. Great food, good price, Excellent Staff This is one of the many Sonny’s restaurants in Florida. This chain started in... Gainesville in 1968 and has grown to over 100 locations across the United States. The restaurant chain is known for its barbecueand service. I have been lucky enough to visit many of their locations and can say that they are consistent on several itemsacross every place I have visited. Every store has had clean tables, good bbq, friendly staff, and reasonable prices. Thislocation had all of those also. It is located on the south side of Malabar Road just to the West of I-95. Traffic along thisstretch of road can be very busy so be careful getting to and from this one. There is plenty of parking to the south and west ofthe location. Upon entering you are greeted by a hostess who seats you in a booth (almost all tables are booths) and took ourdrink order. We ordered sliced pork sandwiches with french fries and tea. The food came out quickly and was delicious. Add intheir signature barbeque sauce of your choosing and you have a recipe for delicious food. The price for two full meals was $22and well worth it. Sonny's is the quintessential southern BBQ stop. You can taste the slow roasted goodness I'm their meats. Generous servings are... another Southern staple and Sonny's provides you more than enough to satisfy your hungry itch. Now let's add on the rewardsprogram, which for me just provided a free lunch, a large pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw on top, a side of beans (my choice)and a large iced tea. Didn't have to buy a thing, just show the reward and enjoy. The only thing that has changed at Sonny'sover the years has been them dropping the salad bar and baked potato from the sides selection. I got the salad bar once, thefirst time I stopped at Sonny's over a decade ago. I realized I didn't have room for all the entree provided and a salad, so Inever got it again. As for the baked potato, I wish that was still offered, but I've exchanged it for sweet potato fries when Iget dinner. The one thing for everyone I know in selecting your BBQ stop is their sauce I find Sonny's a great match to mytastes, from their signature sauce, to sweet and spicy, and the Carolina mustard sauce. Ordered through drive-thru. Received burnt egg rolls, ordered two orders of corn nuggets with RANCH and received powder sugar ON... my corn nuggets themselves and no ranch. When I got to the window, I asked for extra smokin ranch and ranch. The cashier handedme packets of smoking sauce and shut the window. Read more
Loved the ribas and brisket the most, I also was impressed with the option of white or dark meat for the chicken. I got dark and... was happy with my selection. All the sauces had a distinct difference my favorite being the smokey one. Read more
