If you get take out or food from the drive thru, they seem to either give out smaller portions of their meat or they use small... containers for their sides. It's not the same portion they give if you ate inside. But they're not giving a discount for lessfood, still paying full price but not getting the full portion. Plus their drive thru window is blacked out to where you can'tsee in and they can't see you unless the window is open, makes people wonder what they're trying to hide. Read more

The new larger plates. A joke. Nothing larger Poor service food brought to table then said oh my fault you said no sauce. It... was covered in sauce. Our garlic bread was cold and not toasted very well.I asked for hot bread. It came to our table after wefinished the food we would eat. Brought most home to give away. Used to be good. No longer. Food was burnt. When the girl walked away in the drive thru and you see the kitchen ????????ankle deep looking water.. With food... floating in it and the cooks wearing rubber boots obviously because its a constant issue ???? No excuses that's just nasty! Read more
Everything was superior to any other BBQ in Palatka! The service was excellent, tea stayed full, server was knowledgeable and... very friendly, the food arrived in perfect timing and tasted fantastic!!!! I will recommend this Sonny's to all my friends andfamily, as well as anyone coming into our city! Read more
Great BBQ! My girlfriend and I split the 3 plate combo and got the pulled pork, sliced brisket, and ribs with sides of potato... salad and green beans. The meat was well smoked and delicious! I really loved the potato salad and green beans. We tried all 5of their BBQ sauces and they all had their place. The spicy wasn’t spicy at all so that would be my only critique, but I lovespicy so it could be that too. I will absolutely be back. Read more

Being a Sonny’s lover for years this location fell short to the bar set by others. I have been going to Sonny’s in NC for... years and we went to this location and was very disappointed. Was seated in the far back and went to sit down and u could smella strong scent of urine. When asked if I wasn’t crazy about smelling it the waitress said yeah it’s smelled like that forawhile….. Asked if we could sit over in another area and we got that section is closed…. Putting that to the side we orderedfood and could tell as it was microwaved and prepared early that day as it was just all above room temp. Only thing that wasdecent was the fries and u can tell they were just made and hot. I feel this location needs a revamp and a cleaning in the backsection. Read more
