When it first opened up I thought I found myself a nice place to take my family to... But from my last three experiences don't... think would go back to it. Food is good, but the waitresses are not. On one occasion I had to ask this waitress 10 times for mypancakes and she brought it to me at the end after asking her again. That was just one thing... We had a great first experience at Jelly cafe. I'm a stickler for a good corn beef hash plate and I have yet to have one that... beat the one I ate here! My only ding is that Jelly seemed to be understaffed at the time we went. We were seated almostimmediately but it took roughly 10 minutes before our server first approached us. Good new place with a very comfortable atmosphere. Rose, our server, was so friendly, warm, attentive, and accommodating. I love... her! Ordered the beignets for a starter and they were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The berry jam that it wasserved with put it over the top. So good! I also ordered the chicken and waffles, which is dangerous for me because that is oneof my favorite dishes that I order at restaurants whenever it's on the menu. At Jelly it's served with gravy. Don't get thegravy. It doesn't really go with the dish. What makes chicken and waffles so good (to me) is a waffle paired with savory chickenand a sweet sauce/syrup. The salty gravy makes more sense with biscuits and gravy, which is also on the menu. The chicken hadway too much breading which made it a little difficult to eat. I doused everything with maple syrup and all was well with theworld. But what do I know ?! Maybe others like it the way it's served at Jelly. Overall, a really good place and will return! Read more
