We had the most wonderful experience here. Not only was the food amazing, but all the staff was extraordinary and knew our needs... before we could even ask. The steak basically melted on your mouth and my shrimp were gigantic, and the wine was fantastic. Read more
The food was impeccable. This was only part of our meal. We started with the chefs choice charcuterie. This was our last night... of our honeymoon. We made sure to make a reservation due to the numerous good reviews and the limited window in which they areopen. It was disappointing when we showed up and they sat us in the casual dining area at a table that was extremely tiny. Itwouldn?t have even fit our meals on it. My husband is extremely tall and we had to asked to be moved because his legs didn?t fitunder the table. Their solution was to sit us at a hightop table with an equally small amount of space and room for his legs. Itfelt like more like a casual bar dinner/pub vibe than a multi course $250 dinner we tried to have. It was disappointing becausewe had an expectation of being in the main dining room where they had white table cloths and more ambience. Overall it we hadthe impression that we were some of the youngest proprietors their and we were brushed off by all the serving staff as lesser.Despite this we chose to spend the time together and make the most of it. Great service! What a treat....pimento cheese with crackers for an appetizer. I need to learn how to make it! Love the patio.... My husband and I both agreed...the most leisurely and enjoyable dinner at a restaurant we think we have had in a very long time. First off, Sara, our waitress was great. We appreciated her attentiveness without being overbearing or neglectful. Second the... food was absolutely delicious! My husband ordered the Elk Tenderloin with garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus and I had theBison Ribeye with garlic mashed potatoes with onion topping and asparagus. We also ordered the side Bok Choy and my husband hada salad. He also ordered the barrel aged Manhattan and was very happy with it. Best one to date that he has had. For me it's the best restaurant in Pagosa Springs for the atmosphere. I love the lighting & the patio seating. It's like a fun... big city restaurant here in little Pagosa. I always sit on the patio side, but there's also the other side that has a fireplace& is more quaint. So it's basically the best of both worlds. The food is delicious, and they have a great selection of signaturecocktails. It's a great place to come & watch a game, and a great place for a romantic anniversary.
