Reviews for A Grape in the Fog in Pacifica, CA
Very nice ambiance. The wines are great the food is amazing its a great place to go for intimacy or with a group to catch up
First, I think their outdoor patio could use a little work to make the atmosphere nicer. The inside looked cute, but it was a... gorgeous day outside and I wanted to enjoy the weather. The wine flight I had was okay, but nothing really stood out tome. The highlight by far was the Brie and jam plate I ordered. It was amazing! Great Brie and fantastic jam! I had to buy some. Great vibes. Good wine. Fantastic cheese. Great for sipping and snacking and reading a book.
Wonderful chill wine bar with phenomenal service! They have live jazz on Sundays and their charcuterie & cheese board is... incredibly delicious! Great prices and wonderful location. Highly recommend! They have indoor, front porch, and patio seatingavailable! Huge plus that they are dog friendly and you’ll meet some cute pups! Read more
This place is a MUST!! Absolutely delicious, and the staff is so so kind. We went on Saturday after driving by the place and... wanting to go check it out. We are from out of state and enjoy trying out different wineries, there are a lot in our hometown. This place was much better than the experiences we have back home. The wine is so delicious, and the prices were incrediblyaffordable. In our experience, cheese boards at wineries can be so expensive and overpriced and can be quite disappointing. Wegot the smaller cheese board and wish we went all out because we cannot imagine how delicious the bigger ones are consideringhow tasty the small one was. We definitely recommend this place! Indoor and outdoor seating. We sat by the firepit on thecouches and it was such a nice ambiance! They also have cocktails if those are more your thing (which are also delicious!). Ihighly recommend the wine flights, and to ask for recommendations because the staff have great descriptions! We will certainlybe returning next time we visit. Read more
As a visitor to A Grape in the Fog, I was welcomed by Pacifica, CA native, Christine who provided outstanding service, with a... gentle smile and calm nature. The vibe was young "Girls Night Out" mixed with sagely patrons, and a cool (but not hip), relaxedcrowd. As pictured, they had a nice selection of wines ($10 per glass), and appetizers, although for the amount of food for theprice you get, may not give you a lot of bang for your buck ($8 - $20). Pictured is the Charcuterie Platter with dry salami, boar salami, prosciutto and prosecco clementine and rosemary jam, with whole seed mustard on the side. Delightedly wellpresented. A Grape in the Fog also has a small outdoor dining/ drinking area, live music in the front, artwork throughout, andclean bathrooms, gender - specific, and wheelchair accessible. It began to slow by midnight, on a weekday. Convenient public /street parking, and within 1 block of the newly remodeled Inn at Rockaway. Well Done, and Recommended! Read more
Super cute wine spot with friendly staff and great happy hour deals! I stopped in on a Monday evening around 6pm with a... girlfriend. We sat at the front bar and browsed the menu. They were running happy hour until 6:30pm so we quickly ordered somewine and a cheese/charcuterie plate. Ambiance - 4 stars. The place is cozy with a bar in the back and a bar in the front, thenseveral tables for two or four. It felt part wine bar, part beach spot, and casual as can be, no pretentious winos here. Care2015 Solidarity Rosé Tempranillo - 4 stars. A really awesome, middle-of-the-road rosé. Not overly sweet, not overly dry. Aperfect pink color. Tasted of strawberries and peach with slightly creamy notes. AND a portion of the proceeds go to breastcancer patients in Spain! Aveleda 2016 Quinta da Aveleda Vinho Verde - 3 stars. Weaker on the mineral flavors than I was hopingfor but still quite tasty, perfect for a summer day. Cheese & charcuterie plate - 5 stars. Beautifully plated, quality meatsand cheeses. Plenty of bread (and offers to bring more when we ran out)! I loved the variety in the types of cheeses and meatsand the accompaniments of honey, nuts, craisins, mustard, etc. layered on the flavors. Quite a bit of food for twopeople. Service - 5 stars. Both servers were very friendly, attentive to our needs, happy to give us tastes, and more thanwilling to make recommendations. If I lived locally, I could totally see this becoming my go-to spot. Instead, I'll just haveto make it a point to visit when I'm around. Read more
