This is just not a Margherita pizza. Granted, we ate half of it because we were hungry. But it was not good. There were no... dollops of fresh mozzarella, the tomatoes were flavorless. I understand some places do not offer a military discount but when I asked here the waiter taking my order told me "If you... wanted something free or discounted you should go to Los Angeles and wait in a line". Fantastic Italian food with canyon views! Hidden gem of the Palisades. Generous portions and pours. Solid wine list. Friendly... staff, prompt service. Little touches like the Rosemary foccacia with the unfiltered oilve oil, the dessert Moscato, andbiscotti with a solid espresso after the meal really made this an excellent date night experience. The restaurant was very busy. The outdoor patio was lovely. The service was slow, the waiters and support staff were not very... attentive. We had to request cheese after the pasta had been delivered to the table. The halibut special was overcooked anddry. The chocolate lava cake dessert was burnt on the bottom. When walking through the restaurant, the employees did not letguests go by, they marched in front or cut you off. We thought the food was okay but should have been better. Very pleasant, fairly casual local eatery. The staff are very attentive. Beer and wine available and you may bring your own... bottle for a small corkage fee. Food is good, servings are generous. You are not hurried but it is generally busy. Read more
