Didn?t even make it in to the restaurant before the poor experience began. We came excited to eat at this restaurant as it was... highly recommended. We arrived about 30 minutes before it opened and were fortunate to find a spot out in front. After beingparked for about 15 minutes (15 min to open) a woman came out of the restaurant and aggressively slammed down a marker in frontof our vehicle stating that the front two spots were reserved for their take out only. After getting out and confirming weweren?t allowed to park there and asking where we could move our vehicle, the employee pointed impatiently in several differentdirections stating where I could park. Fair enough. I would?ve been happy to move my vehicle and park somewhere else. What Idon?t appreciate, is being treated as a nuisance by this employee. I?ve spent my fair share of time employed within therestaurant industry. Quality of food is important; so is quality of service. I?m left disappointed by my experiences here. Noworries, we can take our business elsewhere. Somewhere we?re actually valued as patrons not where we?re treated as aninconvenience. Read more
My first time dining experience at Pepper's Mexicali Cafe as highly recommended by a local of Pacific Grove resident. Our food... selections were tasty as well as the salsa and guacamole. I used to frequent Pepper's when we lived in Pacific Grove at least once a month. The Tacos Al Carbon became a guilty obsession... that had to be satiated at least that often. 21 years later I am doing a Daddy Daughter trip and decided to see if therestaurant was as fantastic as I remember and it still continues to be a favorite. If you like Steak then these will be yourfavorite Steak taco ever. The Marinated Strip Steak used is fantastic! I also tried the Local Root Beer Sparky's and enjoyed itas well. Read more

Got take out off the specials menu. Looks like I just beat the lunch crowd. The salmon is delicious and the salad is all fresh.... My friend works at the aquarium and told me this is her favorite nearby restuarant so I had to check it out. Read more

Go here often. We love the food and pretty good margaritas. Excellent out door dining configuration, super attentive staff and... great location because you do not have passers by and side walk pedestrian traffic over your seating area.
