Reviews for Wagon Wheel BBQ in Ozona, TX
It's counter serve with some picnic tables outside. Brisket was charred just right with good flavor, having the option for a... wrap instead of a sandwich made for a relatively mess-free lunch. The potato salad was a little dill heavy. Overall we'lldefinitely stop again if we're in the area. Read more
Wife and I stopped here for takeout on a road trip across Texas. We ordered beans, a pork sandwich, and brisket. We?re used to... baked beans from Tennessee and other southeastern states, so they were different than what we were accustom to (Texas bakedbeans are made differently). The brisket was good and the pulled pork was fantastic! They both had nice a smoked flavor andwe?re very juicy! I asked the lady on the phone, when placing my order, If it came with any side sauces. She mentioned it comeswith one side sauce. But when I got my bag there were three side sauces, it was generous of her to realize I wanted sauce andprovided extra without us asking and their sauce was really good!! Customer service and food was great! We would definitely stopby again when traveling along I-10! Read more
GREAT BBQ and very nice folks! Generous portions of tender, delicious meats with fantastic potato salad. Found a pecan tree on... the way to the clean restroom around back and they gave us permission to gather some pecans to take back home. Will be back nexttime through! Read more
Good Texas BBQ. I had pulled pork, wife had the brisket. Both were well smoked and not overly seasoned. We had macaroni salad... and potato salad, both looked freshly made. The macaroni salad had pieces of red pepper that really added a good, unique flavor.Price seemed a little high at first but you get a drink and a dessert included, which made it pretty standard price for a onemeat plate. Also, there was a lot of meat on both of ours. Definitely more than most BBQ joints. Came with a pickle spear, sliced onions and a slice of homemade bread which was real good and a nice touch. There's no seating inside, but there's acouple of picnic tables outside. We are just passing through, but we would come here again the next time. Read more
Hole in the wall place but exactly what we were looking for. Ribs and pulled pork to die for. Beans and brisket could use some... more seasoning but other than that we?d go again!! Cute lil swing on the side and perfect spot to walk my dog. Headed to Houstonso perfect stop! Read more
This is the real deal for Texas BBQ if you?re in west Texas it?s worth a stop at this unpretentious takeout BBQ joint. You can... see the smoker as you pull in parking lot of this former filling station. The chopped brisket sandwich is amazing, we didn?thave any sides but will try next time . Read more
There were not a lot of options to eat in this area. So we were pleasantly surprised to find this little barbecue spot. They... have a mom and pop kind of operation here. They have already cooked the meats and have them sitting pre-sliced in warmers insidethe building. They've got a cute little set up outside to hang out in a tables. The bathrooms were surprisingly clean and nostinky smell. They have cute little decorations just to make the place welcoming and friendly. Highly recommend it for a stop.We did not have the sausage which looked really good. We had the brisket and the pinto beans and coleslaw and they were alldelicious. They went well together because they had pre-sliced the brisket so it was a little bit drier than places that cut itas you order. But combined with the pinto beans and the coleslaw it really worked well. Read more
All the good things people say are true. Really courteous and kind family service. Pork ribs were barky and super tender. I... disagree with most peoples criticism of the sides, I liked the heavy seasoning. Cobbler had a great sweet/savory balance. I willreiterate a great tip below: there is nowhere comfortable to eat here, I took it down the road to the chamber of commerce wherethere are nice shaded picnic tables. Read more
