I ordered the hillbilly steak sandwich with chilly cheese fries. Good food. Good atmosphere. Great staff. I had a table a bit... too close to the door, but I'm sure it pays for itself over and over again at the rate these chairs are filled. Pricing is verynice too. Let?s get the only issue I had out of the way: our food took quite a while to arrive. I?d never been there before so I don?t... know if it?s typical, but it was a solid wait. But ya know what? Who cares? The food was clearly fresh from the oven and thefryer; hadn?t been sitting around. The waitress was incredibly friendly and made sure our glasses stayed full. I already lovedthis little kind of places anyway, so I was excited to find one in Ozark while we were visiting. Chicken fried steak was superawesome. Mashed potatoes were clearly homemade. My wife?s fried chicken and baked potato were super and tasted great. The greenbeans are yummy too. And don?t forget about the pie! Holy crap? some of the best lemon meringue I?ve ever had in my life! Mywife opted for the peach pie, warmed up, with vanilla soft serve. Are you kidding me? Super good!!! Server came and got us drinks right away. We orderd right away and waited for over 50 minutes for our food. Chicken, liver and... chicken fried steak were all good. This would be a great place if it didn't take so long for the food. Read more

Very busy Saturday morning. Tables needed busing and service was scattered. The food was good, had ham and cheese omelette with... bacon on the side and coffee. Had to wait for condements and was passed up for coffee twice. Restroom needs a good cleaning. I'msure it is a lot better at a slower time. Read more
Down home feel to this unique restaurant. The waitress didn't write down our order yet got everything 100%! So very friendly... and cordial. The owner, Vince, came around a visited with various ones. And having just celebrated Veteran's Day, he made apoint to honor and bless our Veterans. Also, someone had a birthday so everyone in the place sang Happy Birthday to him. Thatwas so thoughtful. Our food was delicious! One in our party of five ordered the fried chicken which takes 30 minutes so it was alittle bit of a wait due to that but...well worth the wait. And all of us received an unexpected ice cream treat after the meal!Soft serve topped with chocolate! Yum! If we are back in the area we will make a point to stop here. Read more
