Also got the tiger shrimp also fresh. Good Price $80 for everything. Crabs were so heavyI even ate the claws, which I never usually eat. Read more
This was the first time I have been to the new location. The team there is ready and willing to help you get what you want. ... Although Captain White Seafood does not stream the crabs for you at this point they still offer the best crabs of the region. Check Captain White Seafood City on there Facebook page for weekly prices. Don't forget the old bay by the way. Read more
My experience was good. Not at all like some of these reviews. I actually question their validity. Anyway, food was clearly... marked and clearly priced. No need to haggle because the prices were cheaper than the regular grocery store (and the seafood isfresh, not frozen). I do wish that all of the seafood advertised on the website was in stock. Maybe the wholesale cost wouldhave been too high... I really wanted oysters though. All that was available to purchase was crab bushels (whole crabs), boxesof crab legs, and four varieties of shrimp. Also, the smell of seafood wasn't overpowering like some places. It helps that themarket is outdoors. This is my new favorite spot when I come through on 95. I look forward to my next visit. New location doesn?t have steamers yet.. Father?s Day they said they should have it. As a person of color, Asian and an ally, I... have received bad treatment from the dc wharf location, and I knew coming in it was going to be hard dealing with the sellers. But I really want to change this stigma. If not from them from me. I stopped going there altogether and wanted to give themanother chance at the new location. Asking prices doesn?t mean we are cheap. And some people actually prefer female crabs overmale crabs!! But our cookout calls for catering to all various shades of people and genders- male crabs. (Happy pride month!!Androgynous crabs too!) To the sellers! Please do not make an ugly face when people ask for prices. And I hope tipping becomesmore common with Asians but I do tip, so don?t generalize. If we just had consistently nice treatment as human to human, itwould be more pleasant, nay, enjoyable to support local business. If we are cheap, same could be said about captain whiteleaving their lease at the wharf. Also know your target market. I?m sure you moved to PG county for a reason! If you are justnice and treat everyone with the same respect, rich looking, poor looking, whatever the f, I would come buy crabs every weekendin season. I call ahead cause I sound American, my American brother in law always get good prices calling ahead, I get there Iask for the prices suddenly it?s huge gap, I won?t say cause market prices fluctuate. It was completely reasonable for acustomer to ask, even if someone asks to see size the crabs it?s within reason. No one likes to feel like they are gettingripped off, and I have been constantly ripped off, trying to support such business even when I come thru and engage nicely it?sjust sad how we treat each other and we expect and demand to be treated better. Golden rule: treat other people the way youwant to be treated.. Read more

A must stop place in DC. What I would call local food, everything seems fresh and it?s cooked in the moment. Place smells like... sea food as you may expect and captains white cooked food is in the back, fresh sea food in the front(did you see the size ofthose shrimps!!) We all enjoyed our crab cakes, shrimp, Mac n cheese, corn, potato wedges, lemonade. the area has changed a lotin the last few years, there?s lots of expensive hotels/restaurants, bars, people watching, etc. it?s not cheap and the linescan get long and they don?t have enough people (not their fault) but it?s definitely worth the wait and money. We will continueto return whenever we are in the DC wharf. Read more
