Yum! Nice BBQ sauce selections and the pulled pork was delicious though some of the hard chunks should not have been included.... The collards were delicious as was the cornbread. I got the small pulled pork platter and it included the serving of pulledpork, one side and a piece of cornbread for $13. Well worth it in this touristy area. UPDATE: Went two days later for dinner andwere not acknowledged by anyone once sat. Moved to bar where a woman behind the bar was chatting with customer. Customer leaves,woman asks if we are eating, we say yes, she says okay and walks away. We left too! Looks like not enough staff to handle thecrowd. Read more
I order a salad, the ribs, and my partner had the catfish. My ribs were very tasty and cooked perfectly. Salad was delicious... also. My partner's catfish has alot of breading on it and was cooked really hard so he had more crust than fish in hismeal...but overall it was decent. The service was awesome! Read more
Oh, Texas how I miss thee. This is excellent BBQ for all city slickers. Alas, if you're from Texas just fast til the next... meal. The cornbread is actually cake, it's so sweet. The Italian sausage was pleasant, I guess. The Mac & Cheese does havecheese in it but very little mack. Even the spicy mustard was lacking spice. The catfish bites actually saved this meal. Tooexpensive for the serving size but this is the year of inflation, so think of the small serving sites as a way to cut emptycalories. The pulled pork sandwich was a solid dry AF 3 star ordeal. Food was ok. Waiter was nice. They put gratitude of 15% on the check automatically. I wouldn't have mind paying that much... gratuity , but the two females that were hostess that day didn't really greet me when I came in. They were seemed like they were"bothered" that a customer came in the door. I didn't really feel welcomed but I didn't feel like finding another restaurant. I must say the food was delicious. The menu has a very nice assortment of items. Our server was salty from the beginning and in... an altogether unwelcoming mood. This experience for my first visit does not make me want to return. Our party of 3 all selectedthe 2 meat option which only comes with one side. For the price of $27 two sides would have been a better and more fairoption. There are TV screens through out giving the venue a sports bar vibe and there are several games for guests to play. Thenoise from the basketball hoop was very distracting. The final disappointment was the banana pudding. Not homemade or tasty atall. It's like a jar of banana baby food was opened and then surrounded by vanilla wafers with whipped cream on top. Delicious but a little pricey. Then again, a good BBQ place is gonna be on the more expensive side. I got the burger and a side... of coleslaw with the honey badger drink, and the bread pudding for dessert. The bread pudding was a little harder than I wasexpecting but overall every food option was delicious. If you're ever in the area, I'd recommend going, especially if you're afan of places like Mission BBQ. Read more
