Best breakfast in Oxnard! I apologize for the photos, the food was so great I didn?t think to take a picture till I was almost... done! I got the chilaquiles and eggs, with hash browns, and a side of corned beef hash. Everything was spectacular! So fresh andhomemade goodness! Even down to the red sauce they use on the chilaquiles. Perfect over easy eggs! But the highlight of thewhole meal had to be the corned beef hash! It was so savory and fresh! While most others seems canned, BG?s tasted home made andjust so delicious! Stumbled across this gem at the car show. It was packed yet still recieved smiling good mornings from multiple staff members. I... ordered the French toast combo with a side of hash. I've gone to BG's Cafe 2 weeks in a row on my day off. It has a great atmosphere, excellent service, and awesome food. The first... time I went I got the tri-tip and eggs, hash browns, and a side of biscuits and gravy. It came to the table fast and everythingwas delicious. This week I got the country fried steak and eggs, with the same biscuits and gravy. This is gonna be my day offbreakfast spot. I don't know my waitresses name but, she was great too. This is one of those places where I asked myself, ?Why am I only now discovering this spot?? I pride myself on knowing where the... best food in the area is, and yet BG?s has somehow managed to slip by me. Not anymore, for I will be back regularly. The servicewas excellent. This is a great breakfast spot. I come here when I'm in town. The service is either really good or bad. The food here is really... good. I would stuck with the basics, though. Don't order the corned beef and hash. It's from a can. Gross! The coffee is bland.Nothing special. Now, on to the good items. The Avocado omellete is awesome. The chicken fried steak is good. Servers were very friendly. Food came out fast and hot. The BLTA had bacon that was hanging off the bread and thick cut, while... the avocado was perfectly ripe. Would definitely recommend this place. Read more
