Got here 1 hour before close with a group of 10+. Yeah I know that's not really nice and I'm not really for that but everyone... wanted to go here. The staff was great. Nice as can be and helpful. Some of the best staff you could ask for really. Got halfchicken plate with potato salad. It was all great. Tried the brisket tacos and they were great as well. Awesome looking placefor a good time if you get there earlier. Great outdoor area to eat and kid area for them to play. They stayed busy for sure.Also adult stuff to play as well. Would definitely like to come back here at a better time to enjoy it for sure! Great place! Read more
Awesome experience. Great place for dogs and kids. Food was great, you have to get the brisket! Service was fast and friendly.

Visited this restaurant during a trip to Oxford, Mississippi and it was not bad at all. It seemed to be split into 3 different... areas. The front or main area had a dining area and small bar. The yard had dining areas outside, things for children to playwith and on, and a small stage for music performances. There was another area that looked like it could be used as a screeningvenue or a place for live music too. It also had additional, outdoor seating. I ordered the 2 patty smash burger with fries andcollard greens. The burger and fries were good and the greens were excellent. My wife got the half chicken plate with potatosalad and liked her meal. My daughter got the house salad and we had to order her an additional one. My son got the catfishplatter with fries and mac and cheese and we ended up having to order another round of mac and cheese. The bar serves a varietyof drinks and they have several beers from Memphis breweries on tap. It was crowded on a Saturday afternoon and parking was abit of an issue but we were able to find a spot. The wait was 30-45 minutes but it was expected with the crowd there. Overall,not a bad restaurant and would visit it again. Read more
Delicious food, super friendly staff, and such a fun and relaxing atmosphere! I absolutely love the small playground for the... kids! 10/10 recommend! ? As of March 2022 they are training a new staff so the food has changed a bit (taste wise) and its abit slow. Still a great place to visit every once in a while. Read more
The food was pretty good. The brisket was great, probably the best thing on the menu. The ribs were good, nice flavor and not... too much rub. The pulled pork had good flavor, but was dry. The Brisket Nachos we're awesome! The banana pudding is lacking. Tastes like packaged stuff with some crushes wafers on top. Our waitress was awesome, so accommodating, and just reallygood. My son and I enjoyed a few games of Cornhole while the Ole Miss game was on. Easy to watch the game on the big screenwhile we played. If we get back to Oxford, we'll definitely be back here. We visited Oxford for the day as a meeting point between Memphis and Madison and chose Lamar Yard because we have three kids and... a party of 8. I'm surprised by the varied reviews, we loved this place! From a food perspective, everything was spot on. Theonly thing I didn't care for was their spin on collards. The half chicken, ribs, cilantro potato salad, macaroni, nachos, saladsand all of the sauces we had were great. Was it the best BBQ I've ever had? No, but I've have a LOT of BBQ across the countryand it was very good. I was super excited to see a white BBQ offered. We went at about 11 on a Sunday so it wasn't crowded atall, service was on point and everything was clean. The kids wanted to play cornhole and they had no issues setting it up. Pretty bad BBQ. I travel a lot for work, and always like to try the local bbq places? this place ranks among the worst. The... pulled pork was HEAVILY peppered. It literally tasted like I was eating peppered beef jerky? bbq sauce couldn?t even hide it.Couldn?t finish it was so bad. The turkey was meh. If it was smoked, I couldn?t taste it at all. The baked beans were totallystore bought from a can. Very lazy. The potato salad, which I usually like from most places, made my want to gag. It was mostlyjust mayo and flavorless. I should have realized the food would be bad when the employees were eating Taco Bell at the barinstead of their own food, and the place was absolutely dead. The servers were nice enough, which is the only reason I gave twostars? otherwise, this would be a 1 star review. Try someplace else if you?re looking for bbq. This place isn?t it. Read more
