Reviews for Mexico Lindo Grill in Oxford, AL
Had a late lunch/early dinner with my sister, at her suggestion. (She's in the restaurant business.) Service was Excellent and... the Food was Good. I had the chicken fajitas and she had the Chimi Rica. Had a large bowl of queso with dinner and bag of chipsto go. With two beers, the meal was $55 plus tip. If you're on I-20 and/or in the Oxford, AL area and in the mood for Mexican, definitely recommend. Read more
Not your typical Mexican restaurant. They offered more traditional Mexican food with different things to try on the menu. It's a... little more expensive, but the food and service were good. Read more
Headed home from vacation, we were searching for a lunch place and we hit the jackpot. The prices were great and so was the... food. $36 fed three of us with water to drink, and we left with a full to-go box. The salsa seems to have a hint if thyme thatI hadn't had elsewhere and I loved it. You are served a communal basket of chips and an individual vessel for the salsa (thewaitress pours the salsa for you). Don't be afraid to ask for hot sauce. The mole they bring out is delicious on everything! Ihad the burrito supreme sans lettuce. The ground beef was EXCELLENT. So much better than anywhere else I've eaten! My daughtergot the two taco meal and she agreed that the meat was so, so good. Our lunch partner ordered the carnitas and was reluctant toshare because he liked it so much. There were a few large pieces of fat served on his plate that looked like meat, so bewarebefore taking a bite if you don't prefer the fatty pieces. We collectively agreed that the refried beans were very good and wethought them being served in a shell was cool. None of us preferred the rice, so we would substitute it next time. It was a bitwatery and didn't have any flavor during our visit. The decor was fun and funky and gave the restaurant great ambiance. Therestrooms were very clean, too. Our next trip through will include another stop in! Read more
A.C. had just been fixed and would take a min to cool off. We asked if light bulbs could be turned off on tree. They said yes... all the food was awesome Read more
Food was decent, drink was fruity and service was quick. The tortillas were a nice surprise as they were definitely fresh and... appeared house made or at least very close to it. Read more
Stopped for dinner on a Monday night around 7pm while on a road trip with my wife. It's in a nice shopping center. Small dining... room but very nice atmosphere. Not packed, but most seats were taken. That was a good sign. We were seated immediately, and inless than one minute our drink orders had been taken. A minute or two later they were on the table. Pretty solid margaritas, andthey have a skinny margarita (which my wife was looking for). Couple of minutes later, someone different came by the table andasked if we'd like appetizers. We got cheese dip and hot salsa, which also came out promptly. The mild salsa that comes with thechips is delicious. Hot salsa is... kinda hot (I know many people who would probably question whether or not it's actually"hot"), but not a whole lot of flavor. Cheese dip was respectable and par for the course, though not a stand-out. Then a thirdperson came by to take our order. Not complaining in the least; I just haven't been to a place where different servers work thesame table, and it was just a little unusual. They were all friendly and prompt. I got the chicken taquito appetizer since Iwasn't very hungry. Came with a ton of shredded cheese, pico, and cheese dip. The blob of guacamole (see photo, which I tookafter I started eating, oops) was an extra $2.50. Too expensive for that add-on, but not a problem enough to change my rating.Corn tortillas were cooked perfectly; great crunch, and chicken was juicy and flavorful. My wife got a beef enchilada and acheese enchilada and said they were both great. The upshot -- based on our first experience here, I'd easily recommend MexicoLindo Grill for a casual dining experience. Read more
We have been by this restaurant many times but never tried it out. That has been our loss. The decor is beautiful. The service... is fast and professional. The food was absolutely fantastic and the cost very reasonable. We had the steak Chimi Rica. Not athing to complain about on our visit. If you are in the area and want a great Mexican restaurant then this is your place. Read more
Seated right away, very nice waiters, and prices fairly reasonable. The waitress helped with choices on the menu. The menu was a... little more confusing than other Mexican Restaurants. Seemed as if the items were scattered around on the menu, instead ofgrouped together. I ordered the Chicken Chimichanga, BUT...the chicken was NOT good. You might like it, but I've had better. Itwas all dark meat, chunks, not shredded, and did not have good seasoning, like I've had at other Mexican Restaurants. It tastedlike it was boiled!! I tried to cover it with extra sour cream and sauces, but it didn't help. So, I won't order anything withchicken at this restaurant, again. I will stick with steak, maybe beef, but if the chicken didn't taste good, I'm wonderingabout their beef, so maybe just steak next time. My niece ordered the beef, she didn't say how it tasted, but she didn't eat itall, so I'm wondering about the beef!?? I will go back, and give it another try, but order something completely different. Nochicken!! Read more
