Our first time at Metro Diner. Wow! Gave a five star just because service was so awesome. We ate Fish and chips which they... bread and fry themselves. Steak salad was awesome. We ordered from here about 2 weeks ago. When my husband got there to pick it up he noticed one of the meals was missing. He said... the kitchen said oh yeah we forgot to make it. So he had to wait. In the meantime the other food got cold. When we got it allhome, half the food was cold. The chocolate cake was thrown in with the hot food which then melted all over the place. I calledand spoke to Jennifer, who told me she was the owner. She apologized and offered me 3 free meals anytime I wanted . So I heldoff on writing the review . Well tonight we decided to give them another chance and ordered our 3 ?free? Meals. One would thinkthat they would have tried extra hard since they knew the issues the first time. But Nope! Just as bad. We didn?t get the frieswith the chicken tenders meal, The chicken tenders were over cooked and stringy and dry and the strawberry butter was asked tobe left off the waffles as my kids don?t like it. But it was thrown in the container with no lid and melted all over thewaffles. Well of course, the kids wouldn?t eat them. There were only about 5 tables occupied when I picked up the food. So it?snot that they were swamped. This is the last chance for this restaurant. There are so many other places in Oviedo that it?s justnot worth it. Read more
My second visit here. Everything I've ordered was delicious. Curbside is quick and very friendly. The pot roast reminded me of... my mom's pot roast that I miss soo much. The club sandwich was enough for 2 meals ???? and my picky family has enjoyedeverything I ordered for them. This is definitely a to-go for me, always. Read more
I really love this location, I think it?s the best Metro Diner location in town. We had the basic two egg breakfast and both... mine and my wife?s were perfect. The menu is packed with old standards and comfort food. They always have daily specials thathave a little twist on the standard presentation or flavor. The staff here is great and the management is out on the floortaking care of business. Read more

Ate here today with my kiddos. We were greeted and seated immediately. Our order was taken promptly and the food came out very... quickly. Unfortunately my food and my daughter's food was really not good it was overcoat and the topping was like sliding offthe chicken at the very ends. However when I mentioned it to the wait staff she was very apologetic asked me what she could dofor me and I told her nothing. I support small businesses and in this current economic time the last thing I'm trying to do isget a free meal or a handout. The owner heard me say that I didn't really enjoy my food and she actually followed me outside totry to find out what she could do to rectify the situation. Honestly they were very busy and they were short-staffed and Iappreciate that these kind of things can happen from time to time. Visited today and had a wonderful experience. My favorite local diner with Family and Friends. Chicken and Waffles were crispy,... hot, and delicious! Our server, Brittany, was attentive and enthusiastic to ensure our dining experience was the best. Staff andManager made us feel very welcomed and at home. We will definitely be back for their famous chili in the upcoming winter months.Highly recommend! Read more
