Reviews for Warehouse Barbecue Co. & Brewhouse in Ottumwa, IA
I finally got to Warehouse Barbecue Company after hearing from, basically everyone, that it was the best. I'm really glad we... gave it a try! Food was really good. I had the Barbecueban and wife got the What The Cluck wrap. Both were fantastic! Theproblem I often have with BBQ joints is that the meats often get dry and tough as they are smoked early and sit for a while. Butall the meat was tender, juicy, and delicious. My only issue was that I really didn't taste much smoky flavor. But that was oneof my wife's favorite things about her wrap. I like that there are traditional bbq offerings along with some interestingreimagined takes on the "norm." Got a decent beer that was on tap and my wife got a pineapple hard cider (that was really tastyand different.) Personally I'd like to see at least one or two darker choices such as a good porter or stout available. We'redefinitely looking forward to trying more from the interesting menu. Read more

Good BBQ decor. Clean bathrooms. Friendly, knowledgeable, and quick service. Thoroughly enjoyed the turkey and ribs. Also liked... the variety and taste of the sauces. Baked beans were among the best we've had. Coleslaw, potato salad, Mac and cheese, andtoast were also tasty. A bit pricey, but in my opinion, totally worth it for the quality and quantity. If back in the area, Iwould absolutely go back! Read more

First rate BBQ! We had the Diet Starts Monday, and it fed four of us with some to take home. My personal favorite is the... brisket. The chicken, pork, and ribs were also great. The ribs were competition done, not fall off the bone and the pulled porkwas seasoned to perfection. The sauces were on point as well. They have the OG, Huck's Heat, and Apple Habenero. All were nicelyseasoned and paired well with the spread. The Mac and cheese was creamy, the bbq baked beans were flavorful. They have outdoorseating that's covered. We have a dachshund who was able to have a treat with the rib bones and a slipped piece of chicken. Wespent just under $60 for four. The seating were large picnic tables that could accommodate another four people. We'll definitelybe coming back. Read more
You might want a knife to butter your bread; you sure don?t need it for the incredibly tender meats. The two meat platter with... burnt ends and brisket was $18. The brisket could hardly be picked up with the plastic fork - it just fell apart. The burntends were cut in half with the same plastic fork. Several sauces to try, but the meats we so flavorful they aren?t needed. Thesides were ok; about average. Read more
