I stumbled upon Sula Wok on my way to NuGrocery on a Saturday morning. I had passed it a few times before, and I was always... intrigued. I was delighted after speaking to the owner to discover that they had 4 vegan options for tacos. I decided to go withthe sweet potato, knowing that I would have plenty of time to try all the different flavours. I sat on the bench and Waited fora few minutes. By the time my tacos arrived, I was blown away. These were some of the best tacos I have ever eaten. It is a bitfar from my house in Centretown, but now that I have a bicycle, I will definitely be back. I finally came back to Sula wok Forthe Dumplings on Wednesday. The deal was 24 dumplings for $25 dollars, a veritable steal. I got the Kimchi Tofu and the SweetLentil Purple Yam. Both were delectable. I was further delighted to see that they have reusable containers that you can returnwhen you are done. It is great to see Sula Wok being a leader in sustainability. Read more
Really appreciated the flavours and freshness of the variety of dishes we ordered. The dumplings were made fresh, punchy ginger... and other ingredients.. tried the curried beef tacos, and they were SUBSTANTIAL... Not little petite tacos like you'll findelsewhere, this was a very decent sized portion. Just a quick update in 2022. Food is still amazing, and as such they are very popular. Make sure to order ahead!! This place is... amazing! Their tacos are out of this world, and by having meat, vegan and gluten-free options almost everyone can beaccommodated. Their dumplings are so flavourful and I wish I could buy a bottle of the peanut sauce that came with it for home.The restaurant is owned and run by a husband and wife, the latter originating from Tibet, and the atmosphere reflects it. Ordered takeout to try out this place with all the good reviews. Honestly, I was personally disappointed. The food came well... packed and looked okay with the different mix of veggies, however the taste is strange with so many fusion mixes of vegetables. I've had many pad thai dishes from different places and the pad thai sauce here is not so good with the odd mix of ginger in theveggies in it is weird. I couldn't even finish the pad thai, it's just not good. Nothing too special about this place. Read more
Outstanding takeaway! Delicious, colourful and definitely above average. Ordered ahead of time and my order was ready and... waiting when I arrived. They didn't prepare it too far in advance as it was still piping hot when we got back to our hotel. Soimpressed. Great prices and quality. The owners were super friendly and seem to be quite well known by locals. If I lived here Iwould definitely get to know them very well. Keep up the great job Sula and Andrew! Read more
