I got the Chicken Ramen and the Chicken Karaage. Both were flavourful and the noodles were perfectly cooked. Food was amazing... and the servers were very friendly and attentive. The whole staff greets you when you arrive and leave, such a cute littledetail. I will be back for sure. Read more

Small restaurant, decent ramen house with good amount of options. Service was excellent, clean environment and clean place... overall. I ordered the Gluten Free Chicken Shio, and wow the broth was amazing. If you?re looking for comfort food, must go forthat ramen. I was left satisfied with the food. Price was decent in comparison to other ramen restaurants. The appetizer,Takoyaki, didn?t feel freshly made, doughy in my opinion. the dressing on it was amazing though. I?m happy the are inclusive andaccommodating of vegetarians and other dietary restrictions. Unfortunately there was no reservation so we had to wait but nobiggie, it was worth it. Read more

Visited the bank street branch in Ottawa and had a great experience. The staff was friendly and polite, the food was delicious,... the red miso was hot and spicy exactly how I like it . Pricing starts from $16. and goes up $20 for a single bowl. great foodand great place! Roasted Garlic shoyu is the Famous one and probably the best selling. Red dragon is super hot and is not forfaint hearted, that?s what I was told but I m intrigued to try it, perhaps in my next visit.???? Read more

Love that they have the stone bowl tsukemen! The ramen is tasty and hearty. The noodles are fresh and chewy. They give you a... pretty good size portion of noodles and toppings as well. I usually have to order an extra side of noodles at other ramenestablishments but everyone in my party was very happy with the portions we got in our bowl. Some of the broth flavours wereover salted which was unfortunate that the broth couldn?t fully be enjoyed on its own. My group also wasn?t the biggest fan oftheir egg being cooked sweet. Otherwise a great place to grab some delicious soup with friends. Lots of tasty appetizers tochoose and share from. Read more

Mediocore food. Poor service. Waited 20 minutes to be seated which is understandable because it was a Friday night. However, we... were seated right in the middle of restaurant and near the door so it was drafty. Also, a party of 4 had their table less than20 cm away from ours so it was extremely loud which dampened our moods. We got: -Takoyaki: The batter was excellent and wellflavored but they should just call it yaki because there was almost no octopus filling. -Karaage Chicken: These were well friedand seasoned. No complaints. -Ramen: Worst value and taste imo. Broth was creamy but not flavourful. Came with 3 small thinslices of pork and only half an egg. The bamboo shoots? lacked salt and their portion was small. Way too much noodle compared totoppings. Service was subpar. Waitress brought us the wrong dish and forgot utensils twice. Was really excited to check out anew ramen spot in Ottawa but after tonight I?ll stick to Sansotei. Read more

I had the tsukemen here and it was fantastic. We also ordered Karaage chicken and it was crispy and juicy. The owner Jason was... really welcoming and polite as well as helpful in regards to the menu. Definitely will be going to this ramen restaurant againsolo or with friends. In my opinion, they eclipse Sansotei for ramen. The atmosphere and vibe had me forgetting I was in Ottawaaltogether at times. The menu is diverse, with vegetarian options, and is straightforward. Overall I had a lovely experience. 5stars for sure ???? Read more

OTTAWA FINALLY HAS GOOD RAMEN! ???? But in all seriousness I'm so happy to see that Isshin is just as good as in Toronto. Broth... was amazingly rich and flavourful, noodles were perfectly akaline and chewy, and the eggs were superbly creamy. Can't go wrongwith a bowl at Isshin. You do pay the price, but it's always good quality. Prepare yourself, the Red Dragon is $19.80 but it'sworth every dollar. The chillies are hiding in the bottom of the bowl (if you mix it all in) so prepare yourself for some heat???? Read more

Fresh ingredients and hearty flavours. I ordered the karaage and Tan Tan ramen. Karaage was crisp and juicy, freshly made to... order. The ramen was great. I personally prefer Sansotei?s tan tan broth, however the noodles and individual ingredients(chashu, chives, ground pork) were rich and tasty. As others have mentioned, the chashu was very thinly cut, but to Isshin?scredit, it wasn?t fatty, just meat. Ramen arrived with a small bowl for grinding roasted black sesame with a mini pestle, definitely added a greater depth to the flavour of the broth. Service was cheerful and attentive, never intrusive. Will be backto try other ramens. Read more
