Reviews for Oz Kafe, ByWard Market, Ottawa in Ottawa, ON
Surprised by what this place offered! Service was great and food was delicious. Had some specialty appetizers that were... delicious and creative. Gave one star less than perfect because the appetizer I really wanted was not available and we weren'ttold until after I asked where it was. Other than that, I was also surprised by their tenderloin. I expected it not to be asgood as it was and I was proven wrong. Would recommend and go back. Read more
Our first visit was excellent. Our server was fantastic, providing recommendations and the perfect amount of attention to our... group. The food was wonderful. We had the beet salad, the mushroom cavatelli, the pepper crusted Cornish hen and a charcuterieboard. Refreshing drinks and a lovely dessert rounded out the evening. Thank you Oz Kafe. Read more
Patio could be nicer. Food was good but over-priced. While there are certainly some unique menu items, those items were not all... that well executed (pea soup, cocktails and the rabbit). Not what I expect from a $200+ meal. Worth a try, just skip thecocktail menu. Read more
This was truly an experience. My belly and I were extremely happy. Great service and atmosphere. I highly recommend.
The ambience and food was truly delicious! The pork tenderloin.. one of the best dish I’ve had in a while, everything on that... plate was very very delicious. i especially loved the corn. The cocktail, and the appetizer were also nice. The servers werefriendly, and I can definitely see myself visiting here again. Read more
Great little place with a beautiful atmosphere. Hands down the best Caesar cocktail I have ever had! Their charcuterie board was... outstanding as well. I liked how you could pick what you would like on it. Read more
Nice back alley restaurant. Reserved in advance for indoor and they contacted us to upgrade us to outdoor after an opening. We... had two cheeses and three charcuteries (rilette, terrine, lamb sausage), Spanish white wine and a strawberry tartelette. Winewas great and paired well with our platter. Cheddar was very nice and lightly strong. Meats were nice, especially the terrineand pickled veggies. Would appreciate a bit of fresh bread with them instead of just crispy crosstinis. Strawberry tart crustwas way too thick (while fully cooked); we expected the tart to fly off the plate every time we tried to cut it (we don't eatwith our hands). Read more
Had heard lots about this cute little place somewhat hidden in the Byward market and I am glad I checked it out. The the food... tasted just average to me, but it was portioned well and the presentation looked great. Moreover, the ambience and service wasabove average. Read more
