Amazing!! Amazing amazing amazing staff and food!! The food I ordered was just fantastic, very tasty and clean! The supervisor... was very nice and even offered candy canes and treats to my little ones! We felt very comfortable dining in as the place wasspot on clean and neat. I'm going to try to take some time to echo what others have said in their reviews, but the short version is: do not visit this... restaurant, do not order from this restaurant, do not recommend this restaurant. Mary Brown's is great, this restaurant isnot. From the time that MB had opened in Ottawa, with the first location in Kanata, I had eaten there no less than 50 times.Kanata, Carling Ave, Orléans Blvd and now this location. Every time I had gone there, I was satisfied. Occasionally there weretimes when the chicken was cooked a bit tooicj, or the sauce I asked for was replaced with something else; all acceptableerrors. Last night when I had ordered from this restaurant, I asked for half Reg-half spicy, and got no spicy. I asked forcoleslaw and got macaroni salad. The service was in disarray and the employees didn't know where my order was, the chicken wassalted WAY too much, and in addition was hard to chew due to being cooked so thoroughly. For the first time since learning ofMary Brown's and enjoying their food, I have come to recommend not visiting one of their locations, and this is it. Read more
My family and I were SO excited to finally try Mary Brown's, we had heard great things about the food. I scheduled my order... almost 50 minutes before my pickup time. I scheduled it so I could pick it up between picking up my kids from theirafter-school activities, with a bit of wiggle room just in case the food wasn't ready on time. Imagine my disappointment whenmy son and I showed up and was told that my food was nowhere close to being ready. I wasn't happy, but I was promised it wouldbe ready when I returned from picking up my little girl, 30 minutes later. I returned with both my kids in tow, only to be toldthat my food STILL wasn't ready, almost 1 hour and 20 minutes after I placed my order. I asked for a refund and was given ameaningless apology. No attempt was made to correct the situation, so my children and I left empty-handed. Very disappointing,especially for someone who has worked is the foodservice industry for almost two decades. This was my first and last timeordering from Mary Brown's. The app said the food would be ready 15 minutes after ordering, which was shown to be a blatantlie. Chicken was better than KFC. Bigger pieces. However the gravy was not good, tatter and fries mediocre. Would give another chance... but would only get chicken. 3.5 stars is more accurate. Read more
