Great food and wonderful service. Our go to sushi place - always fresh and amazing portions.
Greeted on arrival, quickly seated and orders placed. The food came rarely quickly and it was hot. we had two appetizers,... edamame and spring rolls. I wish we would have received some type of sauce with the spring roll so we dipped into the chillisauce that came with the edamame. For the main we both had noodle dishes, I ordered the miso ramen and my husband the chickendumpling. I?m a huge fan of Ramen, I?ve tried many and I must say, I was a tad disappointed with this one. Although it hadtaste, it had the bamboo shoot, mushroom, pork, corn.. it had 1 piece of egg and the yolk was solid (cooked maybe a little toolong). Also, the taste was just a bit lacking, not bad but definitely could have had more flavour. lastly, I know withinflation and covid prices have gone higher but out 4 items (two being appetizers) cost us over 50$. I thought it was a bitpricey for the quality. That?s also my reason for the 4 stars. I?m ok paying for a good meal but the quality needs to be therefor me to be happy with paying that amount. The spicy ramen was delicious . A large portion at a great price. My boyfriend had the chicken pho which lacked flavour. The... place was clean and it shows the staff loves what they do- everyone was happy and it was contagious. Read more
Ginza is now "Gokusen", and to anyone else looking for good sushi... this is the place in Ottawa. The older gentleman working... here works absolute magic, and was so welcoming. Every Maki roll I had was amazing; even the soy sauce was excellent and in acool little reused sake bottle. The Miso that was served with our meal was literally the best I've ever had in my life. 200/10for that Miso alone. They even had a little bit of imported real wasabi paste that changed my life. Very small shop with amazing ambience. I love how they had J-Pop music on the background, specially AKLO's Lost in Paradise just... when the Ramen got served. Definitely my go to Ramen shop everytime I'd go to Ottawa. Arigato ghozaimasu.... Read more
went here to order 1 portion of grilled pork vermicelli. but it must be said that the quality is not commensurate with the... price, the meat is dry, tasteless, the vermicelli is very dry, feel its crispness. The dipping sauce is very bland. But i heardmy boyfriend said ramen here very good, so i'll come next time for that soup, and i get them 3 starts and wait after ! Read more
Sashimi was nice, very fresh and well cut for the most part. The tuna was chewy though and not that great. The excellent... mackerel made up for it. Would have given this place 4 stars, but there was a hair in the food which was definitely not mine andI lost my appetite 3/4 way through. I know things like that happen on occasion, but it?s still gross and should have beennoticed as it was between 2 pieces of white fish. Read more
Decent place to get a quick bit. The sashimi/ Tuna was toothsome. Sake-atsukan was not stale. Service was effective.
