A must go place to discover in Ottawa. The best place to sit is in front of the kitchen. It is so cool to see meal being... prepared in front of us. The food was great. Price, quality and quantity is very friendly. Top notch. We did not reserve and wecame around 18h on a Saturday evening and we got a place. We were so surprised. We will definitely come back. Unbelievable dining experience and artistic creations… so much flavor packed into signature Asian fusion dishes. My only... complaint was that it wasn’t very filling (and that’s what I’m after at the end of the day). But wow. Presentation is todie for and the staff are superbly friendly and attentive. Read more
We sat at the bar, excellent service from the bartender Mi?, and had a number of dishes that he recommended for us to share.... Both drinks he made were super delicious and well balanced - ask him to make you something with his spicy base. The eggplantdandan was ridiculously good. I loved the texture of the dumplings. The papaya salad was crunchy in the best way. And the tunatartar was so good. We went on a Wednesday night and it was comfortably busy, which was nice to see. Read more
I adored my first visit at Datsun. The service was great and friendly, we received our order in no time, and the food was just... the best I ate in a long time. Also, my friend and I are vegetarians and we were pleased with the selection of vegetarianoptions. I will be coming back for more. Special mention to the squash dumplings. The lime leaf sauce was sublime. We alsoordered and loved the sweet and spicy cauliflower wings, the smashed cucumber salad and the tofu buns. Read more
Had a great night here with a friend! The food was really delicious (especially the Dan Dan noodles) and the plating was very... pretty which is always a plus! Our server was also super sweet, funny and helpful! + I’ve also tried their crispy chicken baopreviously (no picture shown) and the chicken was so crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside! Another amazing meal! We sample different items on the menu every single time and Datsun never disappoints. Consistency is key!... Beautifully presented plates, tasty cocktails, fresh, delicious food and friendly service. This is definitely one of ourfavorite spots in town. Read more
This was our first time here. You have to go down a set of stairs so I'm not sure if it is wheelchair/ stroller accessible. The... ambiance of the restaurant was nice. They were missing some of the items in their beer menu due to the pandemic but we stillmanaged to get something unique. Now for the food - the buns were amazing! Loved the Tofu one. I probably could have eaten 3 ofthose. The squash dumplings have a very unique flavor. I would have preferred a bit more heat and a little less dill/lemongrass. The ramen was not bad but the Eggplant Dan Dan noodles are a game changer. Amazing flavour and the presentation was alsobang on. They are not kid friendly so I would recommend the place for a date night. Read more
Food was amazing. Great vibe. The buns were very soft and fluffy, great flavour. Pictured here is the pork roll. I preferred... the chicken but both were very good. The shrimp wantons (pictured) were incredible, I would get that again. The deep friedcauliflower was awesome, great batter- very light. The DanDan noodles with minced pork was very good as well, amazing broth. It has a seafood flavour, which I enjoyed but others who don’t like seafood may not. The squash dumplings were good, a littletoo much dill for me but my fiance enjoyed, shes more of a dill pickle chip fan. Read more
