This is my first ever restaurant review. Because I didn't like my dining experience at the Mio Caffe that much. I don't know... how to cook, but even I make tastier food at home. The food was bland and tasteless: both the soup and the salad. I mean how canyou prepare a salad wrong? And although I didn't like the food at the Mio, but because I thought the service was acceptable andI was being polite, I still left 15% tip an top of the full amount with taxes. But then the waitress gave me the look and didn'tsay anything ( No Good bye or Thank you , come again) when my party left the table. Never again... Read more

My sister and her friends brought me to a restaurant I have been wanting to try for some time. Caffe Mio is a beautiful family... owned and operated Italian bistro, open for over 20 years. They are located on West Wellington. The ambiance is very romanticfor the perfect date night and intimate for a dinner/drinks with friends. The staff were amazing, attentive and maderecommendations to help us navigate the wine menu. The food we ordered looked amazing and tasted delicious, we got somebruschetta to share, I got their beet salad and shared some with my sister (because I love her) and each of us got a differentmain, I got the Gnocchi and added chicken, and the ladies got Gnocchi, Linguine Con Funghi and the Chicken Parmigiana with creamsauce. I am in love with the soft fluffy gnocchi! It was one of the best I have ever tasted, and my beet salad was delicious, Inever thought I would find another beet salad to replace the one we lost at Nordik Spa, and that crispy pancetta was to die for,I would have ordered another! Before I even started eating, I was already thinking about when I could come back again. Their menu has has a nice variety of... Italian dishes, that I look forward to enjoying each of them in time. First we ordered mixed drinks, they were perfect. Our mealwas absolutely phenomenal! We ordered meatballs as an appetizer. They were probably the best ones we had ever had. I orderedchicken parmigiana and my husband had veal. Amazing. So good! For dessert I had a bomba (ice cream and chocolate) and myhusband had lemon creme brulee. They were absolutely delightful! The staff are very welcoming, knowledgeable and friendly. Youcan tell the owner is very dedicated to his restaurant.
