Good location for a conference. Good menu. Stairway is tricky in the cold and visitors should take care.

We celebrated our daughters wedding here. The location is amazing. The venue was beautifully set up. Staff was very friendly and... attentive. We enjoyed canapes, buffet dinner and cake and all was excellent. They made the experience truly enjoyable. Read more

I am not a member of this club, but I visited the area while cycling from Gatineau, QC, Canada, to Ottawa West. It was a detour... from the main sentier, but it was worthwhile because of the spectacular view of the Ottawa River. Read more

Britannia Yacht Club is one of the oldest yacht clubs in Canada, dating back to 1887. The aquatic / nautical club is located... within Britannia village, which was a popular resort/ amusement attraction for Ottawa's elite and military personnel during thesummer months. (Today you can see cottage style homes still standing in the area). The yacht club is built on an extension ofland near the Deschenes rapids on the Ottawa River. Along side of the Deschenes rapids the Ottawa Electric Railway Co. builtthe Britannia Pier (Jetty) as part of a hydro power facility in 1900. This also provided a protective barrier and harbour forthose who wished to enjoy the waterways and the yacht club. However, fatalities still occur by those who accidentally ventureinto the rapids. So be wary if you go out into the waters. The Britannia Yacht club has a long history of social events withits grounds catering to enthusiasts in sailing, tennis courts, dining, wedding parties, theatre and on going support of thearmed forces. When inside the main building you can see the club's history in their photographs, books and treasured items. Theclub also provides port/ storage facilities, regatta events and even sailing lessons. If you like my reviews, photos or videoswhy not hoist your Canadian Red Ensign flag up in the air for all to see. Read more

A nice place to hang out every weekend. We are family members there and spend almost 6 days a week during summer. Their... restaurant makes good food. Dining, launching, and using their facilities are limited to members. But, it makes it a safe, peaceful place. Their kids summer programs are awesome, too. Read more

Best yacht club on the Ottawa River. The main club offers delicious food of all kinds (Fries, Poutine, Salad, Burgers, Steak,... etc..). Also, it?s a great place to drink beer (if your 19+ of course) and watch the best sunset on the Ottawa river. The juniorclub on the other side hosts multiple fun camps where your kids can sail and make good friends. I sail a boat called an optimistat the junior club, and it?s safe to say I spend most of my time around there. Read more

We went to Ottawa to visit some friends and they took us to the Yacht Club for dinner. It was a really nice experience to be... there. When we arrived we took a beer outside watching the sunset, that was absolutely amazing, by the way. After that we gotinside and try some of their nachos as an appetizer. They were so tasty. Then we order two of their daily special plates.Everything was just good. There was a guy working on the floor that night, Alex... he is so nice and he make you feel specialand gives a super nice treatment to everybody. Read more

Beautiful part of Ottawa, away from downtown. The grounds are amazing to walk and take in the Ottawa River views. The building... itself is loaded with history and tons of trophies and pictures to discover. A priceless Ottawa jewel. Read more
