The food was really good. Burgers totally tasted home made .. these definitely weren't frozen patties.
We were very impressed with the quality of the food at this little burger shack. We had a Jerk Burger, Fish Tacos, Beef Tacos... and Fries. All of the food exceeded our expectations, and we enjoyed eating on the shaded patio with a beautiful view over thebeach and waterfront. We used to love getting their milkshakes. Paying 6 dollars at the time was already pretty expensive but still felt worth it.... They have recently increased their prices and it is now 9 dollars for the same thing !!! Their food has increased as well. Theirhot dogs only have options for ketchup and mustard packets so paying 4 plus dollars for something like that is obsurd. Therefood is good, which is the sad part. I can understand a dollar or so increase , but going from 6 to 9 dollars is robbery. Read more
Yummy burgers and fries and they have a cute patio to sit on if you can find a seat. Fair warning when the beach is busy so is... Baja so be prepared to wait for your order to be prepared, you can tell they're working as fast as they can, they just get lotsof big orders. A nice gem right on Britannia Beach. Read more
Lovely beachside location on the Ottawa River. The menu is what one would expect from a burger shack, and the food is good,... though not great. The burgers are well made, fresh, and tasty. The fries are not what one would hope for (mine wereundercooked and not at all crispy). I'd eat there again in a pinch, but I'd rather just bring a picnic to the beach instead. Read more
Had expected something good based on the reviews, but was very disappointed. I had the Baja Burger with Bacon and Cheese, which... is quite small for the price. The toppings were minimal with what I would describe as fast food lettuce and tomato. The saucedidn't taste like much more than mayonnaise and paprika, which would have been fine if the burger wasn't woefully underseasoned. Maybe a good thing if you are watching your salt intake, but overall lacking in flavour. Bun was good, seemed likelike a potato roll of sorts, toasting it would be a nice touch if possible! My wife had the chicken tenders which seemed to bestandard pre-prepared chicken strips, nothing special but perfectly fine. The fries were not bad, maybe a bit undercooked. Theonly thing is that they were very stingy with the ketchup, which is only offered in small packets (despite a generous quantityof fries), and they seemed reluctant to give us more than just a few. I feel that all the food was just 'fine', but lacked anyattention to detail that would make it excellent. For the price, the value was poor (except the fries), and I don't think I'drecommend eating here if you have other options. Go get an ice cream at the Beachconers and plan to have dinner somewhere else! Read more
Oh man this place was SO fire. Came here after a HUGE bike ride and got served by a beautiful family of three who made me some... INSANE burgers and a VERY large quantity of fries. The seating and location is beautiful and the service was fantastic.Definitely will come back and absolutely gorge myself next time I'm here. Read more
They claims vegan burger is with beyond meat. I eat beyond meat every week. It's not beyond meat. It's a cheaper version.... Moreover it's less than warm off the grill. Come on give us hot food not lukewarm food. Pina colada with rum. They poured oneshot of rum in a blender with Pina stuff. Then poured the cup and disposed of 1/4 remaining in the blender. That means Ioverpaid for less rum. Add rum to the cup directly will ensure I get full shot of rum I overpaid for. Moreover adult Pina cup ismuch smaller than non alcoholic version. It doesn't make sense why pay more for smaller cup with 3/4 shot of rum. Fries aredecent. It's pretty much what we order every time. Today they sold us hotdogs and fries without telling us they are all out ofcondiments. Prices are at the higher end. Read more
