More people need to come here. That is all. The front of the restaurant doesn't look the best, I have to be honest. But don't... be fooled - the decor inside, WOW. The back patio? DOUBLE WOW. Had a nice dinner. Wasn't blown away by the food but it was OK. The radish and pear salad was too tart and tangy, was missing a... sweet element. The eggplants were nicely fried, best dish of the night. The pork main dish was too peppery, as if they made anerror? Wine and cocktails were good. The wine menu has a very good selection and reasonably priced. The Bloody Legend cocktailwas really nice. The service was friendly and on time. The ambience is cozy and nice. Will I be back? Sure. Most likely fordrinks and nibbles. Is it the top of my list for food? Probably not. Read more

We went to Arlo for dinner tonight. Our waiter was wonderful, and made excellent recommendations. He had suggested the celery... salad, which isn't something we would have picked on our own, and it turned out to be one of the highlight dishes. We also gotthe bread and butter, raw oysters, and yak tartare. They were all good, but the tartare could have used a bit more flavour.Overall a nice atmosphere. Great spot if you love wine. Read more
Visited this evening 02/13/2022 My husband and I really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. The pear salad, crispy eggplant and... pickled shrimp were great entrées. We followed with a lamb shank bone-in and a flank steak that was seasoned, seared and cookedrare. The host, the servers, the manager we're awesome! It was a very casual flair. We were very pleased. Had high expectations walking in unfortunately did not deliver as expected. Cozy restaurant with beautiful private patio.... Friendly staff and large wine selection. Where Arlo fell short is on the food and presentation. The fresh garden veggie platerleft us a bit confused with the presentation? Overly priced for some ?elevated? meat and potato meal. A few small pieces of duckbreast and duck hearts on a skewer with a large size of fries to over compensate were roughly put together. The few bites we hadwere tasty but nothing to rave about. The same was to be said for my partner?s plate. With Ottawa?s selection of tastyrestaurants, I am not sure I would give it another try. Read more
This is a long overdue thank you to the Staff and Owners of Arlo for making our very cherished event for 30+ people perfect. ... The , fun and sophisticated, very private loft above the restaurant gave us, both comfortable lounging and dining space. Onecould not ask for more smooth and really nice staff who looked after each guest's individual needs and flawlessly read the room.The unforgettable food kept coming, hot and delicious, resembling a medieval feast, appealing to all senses. A selection ofwines tickled the fancy of our wine connoisseur guests from Bordeaux. The evening flowed seamlessly ended by dancing, divinedeserts and a well selected cheese plate. Truly unforgettable, just the way we wanted. As a side note - An 87 year old memberof our party was very graciously and thoughtfully accommodated with appetizers and cocktails before anyone else. The loft hasgreat acoustics. We had our own lounge and dance music playing with the provided sound system. The guests could hear each othereven with the DJ playing later on in the evening.
