Reviews for Norske Nook - Osseo in Osseo, WI
First, PIE! This place is crazy good with real homemade pie and so many quality selections. Peach pie when in season is off... the charts. Recently, we tried the #1 seller bananna cream pie and the butterscotch pie. Ridiculously good! The butterscotchjust took it to a whole other level, can't recommend enough. Decided to share a sandwich on last visit and had the WisconsinReuben on pumpernickel. This sandwich is so good. Make sure you stop, you will leave with a smile on your face! Read more
Not so friendly. As strangers we have no clue what they offer.....would be nice to explain options and recommendations. The pies... we picked were amazing and delicious. The Lefse too. Read more
This place has so many good options. I'm going to have to give it to their pie though, that was delicious. @dietproof
Definitely having issues with staffing at this location. One sandwich had to be sent back, and the other hot beef plates were... somewhat cold as if they had been sitting awhile. Pie was alright, but the food itself is not how I remember it from the past. Read more
The best breakfast of my trip. Sour dough French toast with eggs over easy and thick slice bacon..best coffee Ive had in a long... time, too. Marlene was terrific and quite the saleslady! All she had to do was show us the pie she was serving someone else..ohmy! Fresh Strawberry ???? cream cheese pie. These folks know their pies! Read more
Made a side-trip to Norske Nook on a friend?s recommendation and loved the cherry crunch pie I got. I would have put a bit more... salt in the crust, but it was flaky and fresh. Nice flavor and consistency in the filling, crumb topping to die for. Be preparedfor a wait (or maybe call ahead as others have said, we didn?t think to and there was a good line). They also sell fresh breads, and serve food, but we took our slices to go. Popular for a reason! Read more
This is a charming place that blends Norwegian and American food. It is also always busy, especially for breakfast which is a... testament to the quality and taste of food and the atmosphere. People come from out of state to eat there. After all, it's notthat easy to find Norwegian restaurants. Some food highlights. The potato pancakes are awesome - crispy, not greasy, and theymelt in your mouth. The corned beef hash is made from scratch and not greasy. It doesn't taste like typical diner hash. Lastly, the cookies are so good. They are big, not too sweet,, and are a treat any time of day, even breakfast ???? Head over toOsseo, WI to find the Norse Nook and check out the little gift shop across the street (Gingham Goat Gift Shop - not affiliatedwith the restaurant). Read more
Food was great! I had the turkey melt on cranberry wild rice bread, and it was fantastic. Definitely a gem to stop in at if... you're in the area. I got cautions from some others to avoid the Norwegian pancakes, but didn't have them myself. Read more
