Had a bad experience today. Got shawarma and chicken was undercooked. I even told the guy while he was shaving off the chicken... that it seems not cooked as it was totally white but he said it should be ok. Gross. Watery, flavourless, and the chicken tasted like rotisserie. Why people think this place is good is beyond me. This place... is not worth it. If I could give this place no stars that would be better. Because I'm tired of giving this place the benefit of the doubt. They... ruin shawarma name. Every time I go to this place, I find myself eating the sandwich in a plate with a fork and a knife. Thewrap crumbles every single time, it is a complete disaster. Worst Chicken Shawarma wrap I've ever eaten. Person prepping the wrap ripped the pita into two pieces instead of stuffing it... like most other places I'm used to. They do not put the chicken on the grill after cutting like I'm used to which usually getsthat crispy but juicy texture. They then tried putting as much filler as possible into the wrap to the point where theycouldn't seal the end(s) correctly (see picture). This lead to more than half of the wrap falling out while eating. The actualtaste of everything was terrible, I was essentially eating it for the sake of eating. Better suggestions roughly within thearea would be to visit Pita Land (South Oshawa) if you can get there while it's open or visiting ohShawarma. Read more
I had the chicken plate and my husband had the lamb plate. It was amazing! Their garlic potatoes were so good and the meat was... extremely tender. Best part is its all halal. Will definitely come back! Read more
We've just recently discovered this restaurant near us and have already been a couple of times. The staff are all friendly and... fantastic and the food is delicious! It's a great value - we've gotten the family special both times and it'll feed a smallarmy! We're definitely turning this into a go to place! Read more
Shawarma 401 is the best in town. I've recommended by brother in law here and he is a firm believer. The food is always fresh... and generous portions. I recently grabbed take out due me and wife just recently had a child and haven't had the time to cookbut my wife was craving Shawarma 401. The staff are always friendly.
