My husband's birthday today. All he wanted was a really good prime rib dinner. Owning our own restaurant we dont get out much.... We ended up at Harpos in Oshawa. It was a fantastic experience from start to finish. Good wine selection. Lovely caesar salad.Perfectly cooked prime rib. Our server Frank was attentive and gracious. Amazing. Probably one of the best meals I've had. Seriously. I bought the surf and turf 3 course meal for $99 on the Friday... before valentines for my hubby and I. I'd never been here before but saw some great reviews on my Durham Region Eats Facebookgroup. The restaurant was really nice inside, very clean and classy looking. I got takeaway so I didnt stay, but would comeback as the booths look comfy and there is a fireplace. First off, the waitress helping me (her name was Jamiee-Lea) was SONICE. She gave the best service. She went above and beyond. Im 8 months pregnant and offered me gingerale or a water while Iwaited. She also offered to carry my takeout for me. Secondly. The food was phenomenal and you can't beat the price. Ceasarsalad dressing was homemade and probably the best I've ever had. Big chunks of real parm. The meal was literally unreal.Lobster, steak cooked perfectly, butter, vegetables. Great garlic bread. Cheesecake is amazing. I will 100% be back. Read more

My boyfriend was searching for a place to eat for our anniversary and I was very surprised with all aspects. Honestly, great... place. 1. Vibe + atmosphere, beautiful and intimate. Music was nice and chairs were comfy! 2. Service, amazing! Every staffmember we interacted with was so so kind. I asked for a wine recommendation and it was a good one! (Blush wine) 3. Food and thedelivery of food. I loved how they started off with bread with garlic butter which was amazing. Then came out with thesalad/soup and then the entree. Very professional and high end, it was refreshing having things come out in a proper manner likethis. The Caesar salad and cheddar broccoli soup was great! 4. Dessert had a nice anniversary note too! Came here to celebrate an anniversary with my girlfriend. The restaurant was an amazing place with friendly staff. We had an... awesome experience and both enjoyed the food. First time dining here, decided to try something different for my husband's birthday. The service was excellent. Very... friendly, and did a great job checking on us. The portion sizes were excellent for us but some might find it small. The prices alittle on the higher end for portion sizes but I thought still reasonable for fine dining.
