The Halibut House is amongst my favorite stops. They always provide me with the greeters welcome. They do that for everyone. No... matter how many people are in there they always provide exceptional customer service. The only knock on these chains is you haveto come a certain day to receive certain types of specials. Unless you're order the Senior Special. That's every day. Theirbreakfast are done well. Prices are good for Breakfast. The fish can be pricey depends on how much you're ordering. The more youbuy the more costs are tied into it. A saving there would be really good. Read more

Pretty disappointing. Our regular fish and chip place was closed and decided to try here. It was very greasy, and bland... tasting. We got the 2 halibut 1 chip take out, and I am 100% positive this is not halibut. It doesn?t taste right, andfurthermore it looks like strips of white fish flattened together. Will not be returning. Atmosphere is a bit old taverns country style. But the customer service is great and the food is served fresh been there at... least three times while I venture in Oshawa and haven't been dissapointed in the taste of the food. I just wished the Cesarsalad portion was larger along with the Haddock or sole but overall it's good spot. they have good breakfast deals which I'munable to enjoy due to timing but one day I hope to try it out.
