Update: Much improved experience (Aug 2022) - revising my review. I posted a pretty scathing review back in April after this... place opened to new management. I was pretty unhappy with multiple things about the experience, which was especially badcontrasted with my good experiences the prior year. As I promised, I did go back last weekend to give them another chance. I'mhappy to report that most of the things I previously griped about had been fixed. The burgers were actually good, juicy and notover done. They made the Cowboy Up burger like I remembered from the past. Service was better. They weren't out of ketchup inthe dining room this time. Unfortunately I have noticed others have posted much more recent reviews that show some are stillhaving bad experiences. However, for what it's worth, they earned a return visit from me this time. I completely agree with the other posts - the food & treats have definitely changed for the worst. My husband loved the shrimp... basket and ordered it this year it was changed to popcorn shrimp and not good. I ordered a pizza burger last weekend along witha corn dog - I now have to pay EXTRA for marinara ! How can they call a burger that is just burger with cheese a pizza burger?Corn dog was way over cooked. Went there yesterday to get ice cream. My husband always gets the twist cone dipped in chocolate. The previous staff knew that you had to place the cone in the freezer for a little bit before dipping into warm chocolate. This crew didn't. Ice cream was melting through the chocolate even before they handed it to me. So, all summed up: food not asgood, treats not as good, staff not as friendly ???? Look at the dates of the reviews. Tip Top used to always be a staple by our cabin that we always enjoyed through out the summer. Unfortunately they have new... owners and it is no longer a good place to go. Had 2 different family members go this summer and both complained that they weretold they couldn?t have their ice cream the way they wanted and that staff was rude when they ordered a staple they?ve been ableto get there for the last 10 years. The tip top is an iconic ice cream stop for small town America. Complete with a walk up window for ordering it?s a must in the... summer. We?ve been going since I was a kid and I brought my toddler there this weekend! The excitement for ice cream, slusheesand cyclones never goes away.
