I really want to like this place. I live right in the neighborhood, it is a nice venue, beautiful patio. Tons of potential. My... wife and I have eaten at Noble Hops several times, and always find it coming up short. It's been awhile, so we decided to givethem another shot. The menu has changed considerably since our last visit. Lots of seafood (which we love), everything soundsdelicious. We decide on something conservative, given our past experiences. I mean, who can screw up nachos? Some chips, somecheese, some beans, a little salsa and guacamole, how do you go wrong? Not the healthiest, but its a rare night out. Servicewas prompt, waitress was personable. We ordered some drinks, ordered our nachos with steak. Yum. Hungry. Ready to tie intothese babies. Waitress brings them out. Reality sets in. These things are a glop of mayonnaise like dressing, little bit ofonion, a few pathetic slices of steak, some old guacamole. Just disgusting. There is nothing redeeming about this dish at all. And the price? $14 for the nachos, add $6 for the steak. We picked at it a bit, finally gave up and called the waitress overand asked for our bill. I told her the kitchen should see this as well as the manager. She came back with our bill with thenachos removed. (Kudos to her). I gave her a fat tip and we left. Giving up on Noble Hops. After multiple visits, we never seem to be disappointed. Always a nice greeting at the front door, multiple places to sit and a... menu that offers enough choices at any time of the day or night. We absolutely love the outdoor seating and the ability to bringyour four-legged friends. Read more
Overall, a good experience. The outdoor seating and view was super! A little disappointed in the beer selection since the name... of the place is noble hops. Where are the noble or wet hops? ???? Food and dessert was solid but not stellar. Read more
The food was very tasty. The Ahi BLT is worth trying. There is a great selection of beers from local breweries and others. The... patio views are relaxing. Our waiter was friendly and offered some good food suggestions. The service was a bit slow even thoughthe place was not too full. Not sure if this is how it is usually. Read more
This was billed as a great Gastro pub, but we found it pretty basic. Great beer options and good wine selections but the whiskey... sour was really disappointing! Truffle fries were very good as were the burgers. The wings were pretty big but a bit fatty.Great shrimp and grits. Outside space was very nice with a huge outdoor gas fire. Inside was a cigar humidor which was cool.Great view of the mountains especially at sunset. Outside bar has TV?s! Inside was ok but we were quite surprised when aemployee wheeled out a trash can through the middle of the restaurant - I mean, who does that? That said, if you live on thewest side, go there.
