Great taste but hotdog was not heat hot. Tator tots were nice and crispy and seasoned but again was not heat hot
i feel so bad leaving 2 stars on a business that i use to love and cherish so much. and yet, i think 2 stars is still more than... enough. i?ve been eating from the Vegan Hot Dog Cart in dt Orlando since 2018/19. when it was the actual cart, it was neverdisappointing. you had so many options! so many already created combo?s too. which were always my favorite because there wasn?tanything better than. last night, 09/24/22 (Saturday) i went to an event and in the middle of the event, started thinking aboutwhat i was going to indulge in. i instantly thought of VHDC and was looking forward to it so much that i actually left rightafter the thought came about. left my friends behind to go find my bliss in a couple of scrumptious bites. VHDC was actuallyonly hundreds of feet away. when i arrived, i realized that i had only seen the sign but nothing outside. anyway, fast forward?i was directed into this bar (which was really cool and the people in there were having totes fun!) proceeded to a counter topin the back, where you scan a QR code and that?s how you order from VHDC now. the set up of the menu online was poorly designed.barely options. charging for extra but not allowing you to pick from the rest of the choices that didn?t have an up charge. so ican have what i want but again, not exactly? cause after four toppings, no matter if you want to pay for the extras, it stilldoesn?t allow you to choose them. at the end of ordering an item, it gives you the option of leaving a comment/special request.and since i couldn?t add on anything else, i made sure to pick everything necessary, and then just asked for some sauce on top(that wasn?t marked with an up charge) as well. when i finally received my dogs (i ordered two), i was still excited. and whatwas that for. i opened them, barely any of the toppings were on there. almost nonexistent. it?s like they just sprinkled it alittle with the toppings and i guess they thought that was enough. mind you, this was coming Read more
September 14, 2022 I went to purchase lunch at the vegan hot dog cart today at exactly 1:00pm and it was closed. When I walked... in I was surprised that it was located in a bar. Thankfully the bar tender called the person in charge of the cart and was toldit would be closed today. I was very disappointed first by the environment that the establishment was located in and then itbeing closed with no notice or sign to the customers. If you ever been to the establishment you are aware parking is not soreadily available and the location in my opinion is inconvenient but with Dharma being temporarily closed I figured I wouldgive the cart a try. DUDE! Score! One of my favorite eats, in general, is a chili dog! I couldn?t believe this was right across the street from the... Social! On tour, I?m always on the hunt for a chili dog. Let me tell you, they are hard to come by! This place knocked it RIGHTON OUTTA OF THE PARK! Such an explosion of flavors ZOOMIN over your taste buds. Overall, I am over the TOP happy about thisstop. Everything was fresh and clean! Couldn?t recommend this place enough honestly. Also, shout out to the super sweet stafffor taking care of me. Appreciate you. Compliments to the chef, as well. This has probably been the worst Vegan food experience we've had when visiting Orlando. For one, the location of this place is... horrible if you're not a bar goer. As I walked in, it was insanely crowded and noisy to the point I couldn't get anyone'sattention to ask where to pickup our food. There's 1 small neon lit sign that says 'order here' and then a small 'pickup order'sign in a dark corner at the back of the bar, which I only found from searching like crazy. I was almost ready to walk out fromhow annoying the pickup ordeal was. I had to basically push myself through 2 drunk/high girls that were blocking the corner inorder to get to the food iteself. The food itself was wrong and undercooked. The burger I ordered was fine but none of therequested instructions I added for the online order were followed so I was stuck with a burger with just ketchup and mustard andnothing else. The tatertotts were undercooked so they had a bland flavor. My wife's hotdog was clearly undercooked, as you cantell from the texture and scent. She took maybe 2 bites before throwing it out. Not fan of the new location. Need to go into an incredibly loud and rowdy dive bar to order. Was just waiting at the order... location for several minutes after receiving my order ready text because there was no indication of where the pickup locationwas. I ordered the American, it took 22 minutes before I had to find out what was going on. After alerting the cook, it was ready... pretty quick after. It taste really good, almost like all is forgiven but not quite. Read more
